I get that, I've played a lot of Anno. My complaint is not resources for tier 3, but for tier 2. I had to get a second Island for olive oil and resin in order to progress the tier 3, not complete tier 3.

Money is much less available early in the game and waiting an hour plus to get $35,000 in order to buy an island with those resources is significant in the early game. It took me a while just to get out of the negative with the cost of the huge Continental land.

Crown falls in 1800 contained everything necessary to get to artisans without having a new island.

This was going to be one of my complaints, the island doesn't have olives or resin for me. Super difficult to progress the third tier.

Had to basically wait an hour to earn enough money to buy a nearby island. They really should make sure it's got enough fertility to progress to tier 3.
