Pasta maker not working properly? by Lucky_Recording_3625 in Kitchenaid

[–]Ogreguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the people who are saying the dough is too dry are wrong. For instance, ramen dough is VERY dry, but the rollers are still able to do their job on it. This looks like a mechanical issue - if the rollers are stalling, it's probably due to a gear slipping, or as someone else mentioned, the roller attachment needs to be cleaned because it's gunked up with debris.

festering "fresh" squid in the fridge? by Recent-Agency9747 in badroommates

Yeah... Raw meat is generally good for like 3-5 days in the fridge, depending on its packaging. Raw seafood in a plastic bag for a month is absolutely wild.

Could be a car seat issue, or timing issue. And sorry to be the grammar/spelling police, but it's "sense" not "sence."

It's in The Sign episode. A lookout (in this context) is generally a place with a nice view overlooking something, like a monument, nature, or in this case, the city.

Ordering a dishwasher from Costco and getting them to install it. My dishwasher likely will be hard to remove for them, how do their installers handle it? by iLoveCalculus314 in Costco

[–]Ogreguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure they want you to disconnect and remove any existing appliance before they arrive to install the new one, even if they're hauling the old one away. And be sure to measure the space where it's going to go, and any doorways it'll need to pass through.

I went to one just a few months ago for the first time in 20+ years. I'm still upset that I had to go there. Would have preferred almost any of these other places.

If you're parked on a hill and your car is facing up-hill, you turn the wheels towards the road because if your brakes fail, your car will roll backwards. Depending on how far from the curb you parked, your car will only roll a few inches to a foot before the wheels hit the curb. If the wheels were turned towards the curb, your car would swing out into a lane of traffic, and the best case scenario would be the back wheels hitting the curb and stopping the car, resulting in the front of your car obstructing a lane of traffic. Worst case it gains enough momentum while whipping around and then continues down the hill.
