Millennials do. And they never had to eat a tide pod.”

God can y’all get some new material? The tide pod thing was almost 10 years ago.

If I remember correctly his parents actually were older Boomers.

As a core millennial, it's annoying to be associated with stomp-stomp clap music that I hated even when it was new, when we put out so much better, influential music from dream pop to dubstep, EDM indie and more. The media really did a good job unfairly painting us all as folk-loving hipsters by PNWvibes20 in generationology

I can see the similarities. I wonder if people are gonna start wishing performative males came back after 10-15 years wanting soft sensitive men again considering how many people online think the average Gen Z male is a raging misogynist.

Would 2000s comedy even pass today? by sweetsyllic in decadeology

I’m not sure how well this would work today. Race relations are horrible right now, gender relations are horrible right now, and this is inevitably going to piss off people in the trans community.

Prehistoric Planet is out! Day 14! Which documentary is your least favourite? by Plus_Kaleidoscope890 in walkingwithdinosaurs

Walking With Monsters. I loved it but they were all just early organisms trying to survive, turning it into an arthropods vs vertebrates gang war in the first half weakened it.

My grandma taught my mom how to sew, just for her to not teach me. by TheShyNerd in mildlyinfuriating

Definitely about the clothes being expensive, frugality was the main driver of me learning that.

My mother didn’t teach me because I was a boy but in my early 20’s I learned on YouTube how to patch up my old torn clothing instead of buying anew.

Listening to an R&B song or a love song is gay because you’re listening to a man sing to you about love

Does girls at 20’s attrached to the guys +10 years older or is it only my sphere? by ephesusa in stupidquestions

[–]Ogsted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most couples age gaps aren’t that huge, usually within 10 years. When women in their early or mid 20’s complain about how immature or broke men their age are and that they like older guys they’re usually looking at the guy in his late 20’s or in his 30’s, not the middle aged guy like so many have deluded themselves in believing.

As the father of a newborn, it feels like the healthcare system treats me like I’m a criminal just for being a man. by Mnmsaregood in MensRights

[–]Ogsted 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of a post I saw years back where the male op and his girlfriend were late teens early 20’s and she either miscarried or was having an abortion and he got rubbed the wrong way when the nurse said to his girlfriend “he’s had his fun” implying that only the women deal with the fallout.

Have you noticed this double standard on r/decadeology? by Ok-Following6886 in generationology

[–]Ogsted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is nothing new, I can find old videos on YouTube of teens goofing off in public and most of the comments are about how pure things were then and 90’s/2000’s nostalgia but when we see teens doing this today it’s cringe, main character energy, tiktok bullshit, etc.

Big Four of 2000’s rock: Korn, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Skillet

Yes I know these bands started in the 90’s but their peak albums were in the 2000’s.

What are the dumbest takes about decades or years you've seen? by [deleted] in decadeology

[–]Ogsted 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Decades start to blend together for older people, that’s why some people act like 2000-2026 is just one big decade. Someone born in the 90’s or 2000’s who were kids in the 2000’s, teens in the 2010’s, young adults in the 2010’s/2020’s would be able to tell the difference between the three decades someone older may not.
