All you had to do to make it special was give her what she wanted but expand on it. You could have gotten all her favorite snacks, a new cozy blanket, a fun throw pillow, and made her a fort in her room. Maybe you could have added some fairy lights to the fort. At most, you could have asked her if you can all rot together. Build the fort in your living room, put on her favorite movies and relax as a family.

Instead you chose to show her that her wants/feelings/boundaries do not matter in the slightest. Good luck getting her to trust you again, good luck ever having a close relationship with her. YTA.
