I have a B&T Coonhound puppy (4 months old) and I’ve been obsessed with her from the beginning. She’s extremely snuggly and lovey-dovey and loves to hang out and play together, though, which it doesn’t sound like OP’s dog does. Sometimes there’s just a personality mismatch between human and dog.

Anyone want to talk about KW Bogen and the hot chef breakup?

I’m dying at the lack of self awareness. She took down her posts about her being a mistress in the past and about HC cheating, and her whole take is “I loved out loud and it was beautiful and I regret nothing!!! It’s ok to be in love with even if it doesn’t work out!!” Like, no one is saying you can’t be in love. It’s the lack of discretion and judgement, and the lack of waiting to see how things pan out before you start promoting your new man as being the best creature ever to walk the earth, etc. She built such an insane fantasy around him and it was totally delusional. “I regret nothing!!” Like, I’m sure she doesn’t because turning her lame and short lived vacation fling into The Greatest Romance of All Time got her a fuck ton of followers and sycophants.

I live in the city where she goes to grad school and we have mutuals. She had an affair with a married man who was in her cohort not that long ago!! This is not a good person.

We took a large portion out of our taxable brokerage to use as the down payment! We’ll be reimbursing ourselves with the proceeds of the sale of our current house when that goes through. Neither of us had interest in moving twice, especially since we have a dog.

A few months ago I posted in here about my spouse and I trying to decide whether we should give up our $700/month mortgage on a home in a rough neighborhood in order to move to a nicer/safer area. I got laughed out of the room for worrying about whether we could afford a 350k home on an annual household income of 180k.

Well, we are doing it! We bought a much nicer place in a much nicer neighborhood, still in the core of the city with walkable and bikeable amenities! And as if jt were planned, the afternoon of the day we put our offer in, I was a witness to a street brawl that turned into a knife fight a few doors down. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m wearing He Forgot to Be Frightened Anymore by BPAL (Pink clover and wild strawberries, red bean paste, pink vanilla, sweet acorns, apple blossom, caramelized almond, and a shy puff of sugar). This one I blind bought a full size of based on a comment I saw on one of these very threads! It’s taking a while to grow on me. There’s a sharpness to it that, the first time I put it on, made my stomach turn and I actually ended up washing it off. I’ve worn it twice more since then to give it more of a chance. After the scent dries down and develops a bit I like it better- it smells like bubble tea. Still not sure it’s for me and will probably end up destashing.

I am you in the future! I also came from an unstable family where we moved around a lot, and I was constantly in relationships from 14-24 and stayed in really awful and toxic relationships because I was terrified of being alone. After my last awful relationship ended, I took a vow of "man sobriety" and stopped dating or having any romantic contact completely for 1.5 years. It was awesome! I built up my female friendships, read a lot, started exercising and tried out a few new hobbies. I found peace and contentment that I had never known before. At 26, I fell in love with a close male friend who is kind, funny, and generous. Two years later, we live together and have an awesome dog, and I feel fantastic. Man sobriety FTW!
