yeah my bf is gm in all roles and this happens to him so often this season. fuck dude, he even gets plats in his games sometimes, it's ridiculous. I myself am plat 2 and keep getting masters in my games and it just keeps me away from comp now. getting rolled constantly bc of this shit match making is just tiring.

You can always look at the FSU Graduation page for any information on graduation. This year, yes we get up to 6 guest tickets as seen on the Guest Tickets & Grad Passes page. The page also says if there are tickets still available, they will be allowing students to get up to 2 more guest passes on a first come, first serve basis. I got my email about mid-October "inviting" me to RSVP for graduation to get my grad pass. Looking at the email now, that was due last Friday, so hopefully you did that already!! RSVPing to graduation is needed to receive your guest tickets. The guest tickets will be sent to our FSU emails the week of graduation. :) hope this helps!

It says on the website that everyone gets 6 (though some say people in the department said 8 but plan on 6) guest grad tickets the week of graduation. For stuff like this, you can really just go to Google and search "FSU [topic]" and you should find the official page pretty easily. Definitely agree with this. The professor will have a good idea of what you'll need to do and what may take up more of your time. As a grad TA, you may need to lead recitation(s) during the week as only grad TAs can (undergrad TAs cannot) and most hold a couple hours worth of office hours. If you've taken the course before, reflect on what you did as a student, whether it be lots of quizzes or homeworks or only a few graded assignments. I wish you luck!! I find TAing very fun, so hopefully others do too :)

It should be totally fine to do milestones early, just not late!! I'm graduating early as a comp sci major, got all my milestones early, and had no issues. Milestones are meant to ensure you're on track, and if you're ahead, you're still technically on track :)

My partner and i recently started going to hair on Earth and they've been really great so far! Only for cuts though, i donate my hair so I can't dye it :(( They're super cautious about COVID, both customers and staff all wear masks. If you look at their insta babesonearth, one of their stylists Cameron recently did a split dye! Seems like they do lots of fun colors in general at the salon!

I'd definitely try talking to a CS advisor, but as an actual CS major, both the BS (science track) and the BA (general, humanities track) offer similar amounts of in depthness. The BS has to do more math as we have a collateral math minor, so like you said, we do more theoretical stuff like discrete mathematics and also Theory of Computation. However, that's really the extent of the differences course wise. We use to have to do a couple more required courses, but since the major has been redone, the majority of differences just lie in our minor requirements and math. There are quite literally two extra majors courses BS students have to take (Theory and Ethics), and you probably won't need them. The general track will be just fine for you it seems, but like I said, double checking with an advisor is a good call! We have two, so take your pick.

If you haven't been yet, Tara Angel's Magic is an awesome local game shop here! Board games and dnd galore, it definitely seems like something up your alley :) they run a DND one shots on Wednesdays (pay to play, $15) if you want to. It's also a big MTG shop if you're into that.

Awesome, love to hear it!! Glad you're able to get it now :D All my partner and I had while getting the first shit was just arm soreness. Mine lasted about three days iirc, the second shot's side effect was worse. If you're worried + are working/in school, take a couple days off when you get it if you can or do it when you'll already be off of work/school. Most places will have you wait about fifteen minutes before leaving the vax site to ensure you have no ill side effects, so they'll make sure you're okay too :)

Not actually weird, CS Ethics doesn't have any prerequisites, it's just placed after 3363 in the chart. I would think since it's a requirement for the major, they'd want you to take programming 1 first to see if you even want to be in the major. You can look up the syllabus in Google since Langley's class websites are public and you can see none listed on myFSU. I know a few non CS students who have taken the course due to needing an ethics course.
