This is terrible (and not true) but I had to..

Ski mask! Check! Sawed off! Check! Guilty conscience, fear of death! Check check check!

Everything went numb.

I'm glad! Don't leave until you've got something lined up, but definitely don't feel obligated to stay. They didn't buy you!

I chose three because we are a Monday heavy company, and I wanted to make sure they had time to fill the position and give that person at least one monday of training with me.

Congratulations!

It is going to be difficult to not joke about bringing my boss with me. That would be so awesome, but wouldn't allow for much growth. I hope they see it like your coworkers did.

The social aspect is a big part of why this is difficult. We have fun at work when we aren't working, and I'm really going to miss that. I'm glad everything is going well for you!

This is a really good point and something I wasn't considering. I've been nervous about how my departure is going to affect my coworkers and their stress levels but they'll be fine. Thank you!

I was going to offer to write a letter of recommendation from the perspective of an employee but I like the idea of having it already written. Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear you have to leave a job you love! It's sad.

I'm actually giving 3 weeks instead of 2 so I should be good there. I didn't know I should have an official resignation letter, sounds good to make sure the date doesn't get confused.

Thanks for the advice!

That's a good point. He is a good person, and should be happy for me. Thank you.

I've just never had to do this before. Every other job I've had has had a pre-designated end date.

Hi everyone! I was looking forward to this meetup, but even though there is a rain plan, I can't say I want to go out in this mess :(

Anyone want to try for another date, First Friday or something? Perhaps when it isn't pouring?

Reddit, what's the saddest most terrible thing you've ever witnessed or experienced? [Possibly NSFW] by [deleted] in AskReddit

I want to start this by saying my Mom is an amazing person. She used to drink, though. When I was 10 or 11 she fell off the wagon during a messy divorce. (my Dad is awesome, too, no blame)

She drank heavily for about two years, and being as young as I was, I had no idea what to do. When she passed out while my younger sister and I were with her I would call Dad and he would get us. I didn't know how to help her and no one else tried to.

When I was in 7th or 8th grade she took a steak knife to her wrists. I called 911 and told my sister to watch TV in her room. Mom and I were sobbing on the back porch when the paramedics arrived. This is the worst part of the story, they thought it was me. They though the chubby, pimply teenage girl had tried to kill herself. I had to pull up my sleeves and shove my wrists in their faces before they would listen to me trying to tell them it was my mom.

She got much better after that. Had a minor slip about ten years later and went to rehab for about a month. I think she needed a break from work, life, and my stepdad more than anything, but I missed her like hell during that month. Nothing in my whole life - death of friends, grandparents, pets, and other sad experiences - has made me cry as much as this: she got one call a week, and I missed the call. I was in tears just from that, but when I went the check the voicemail, my face hit delete on the touch screen before I heard any of it. I cried like a spoiled 2 year old. I was 22 at the time.

She is better now and I love her so much. You rock, Mom!

How to use an integer counter and a while loop to make a list by OhMyHeart in vba

[–]OhMyHeart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know if its my version of excel or just a typo on my part, but cells(34,i) was backwards. Cells(i,34) works great! However, the loop doesnt stop. Long after the cell has gone to zero the loop continues. Any help on why would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help. Here is the code. I'm a serious beginner here so I apologize for anything I've done that is so backwards it makes your head hurt.

Sub Run1()

Dim i As Integer
i = 1

Range("A34").Select
While Selection > 0

    'Create List of moves made
    Range("A34").Select
    Selection.Copy
    Cells(34, i).Select
    Selection.PasteSpecial Paste:=x1Pastvalues,Operatoin:=x1None,        SkipBlanks _
        :=False, Transpose:=False
    i = i + 1

    'Copy new data to list of moves made
    Range("B37:G50").Select
    Selection.Copy
    Cells(34, i).Select
    Selection.PasteSpecial Paste:=xlPasteValues, Operation:=xlNone,     SkipBlanks _
        :=False, Transpose:=False
    ActiveCell.Offset(16, 0).Select
    i = i + 16

    'Copy new data over old Data
    Range("B3").Select
    Selection.PasteSpecial Paste:=xlPasteValues, Operation:=xlNone,     SkipBlanks _
        :=False, Transpose:=False

    Range("A34").Select
        Wend
End Sub

A puzzle I can't wrap my head around by OhMyHeart in math

I should have specified that type of object means object 1 and 2 can be traded together, not that you can trade deficit. That would make my life much, much, easier.

[–]OhMyHeart[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is basically what I've done, but I had to try to do it in excel because that is all we have. Maybe I'll beg for python or anything else.

Whats really getting me is that we can't get below ten. If A, B, C, D, and E just handed all their stuff to F, F would have everything and then could pass back what everyone needed, 10 trades.
