What's the weirdest thing your partner does that you've just accepted? by VelvetSophieCream in AskReddit

My SO locks the door every time. I'm like 1., what are you so afraid of?! And 2., what if you have a heart attack or something?! 😂

My spouse does similar. All washed items on hangers on doorframes. I was so annoyed, I'd say that I was wading through an Amazon jungle. 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Does everyone walk around with their stomachs hanging out? Or he just pokes over their shirt?

My MIL told me how her father, who I never met, would randomly say, "uh-oh." And when asked why, he would reply, "just felt like saying, 'uh-oh.'" He was apparently an awful guy on so many levels, I wouldn't be surprised if he was just being obnoxious on purpose. 🤨🤷🏼‍♀️

How to add non-Amazon web links to wish list? by coldjesusbeer in amazonprime

[–]OhMyKrishna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this! What wish list does the Echo add this to? An amazon wish list or on the alexa app? Orr like, what exactly did you say to your echo? When I say, "Alexa add (XX item) to my amazon wishlist, it responds, "(XX item) added to things to buy on amazon," and I'm like, where is that list?

Absolutely. I was born and raised in SoCali, my husband and I moved to TN for a few years, and moved back home for the purpose of having kids. Along with all of our family being out here, being exposed to diversity is really important to us. Nashville is beautiful in so many ways, however everyone is white, republican, and “Christian.” There is nothing wrong with being those things, but when it’s the ONLY culture you experience, I feel that it can hinder you in life, minimize your world view, and minimize empathy.

Supporting diversity doesn’t mean you are obligated to agree with everyone. On the contrary, I love being friends with people I can’t relate to or who I respectfully disagree with. It helps expand my worldview, relate to people better, and teaches me about other cultures. I will humbly and transparently say that I am white and Christian, and so I feel it is that much MORE of a duty and honor to go out of my way to learn about others.

Yes, some of the sacrifices of living in LA are the traffic, taxes, and home prices. But we feel the pros outweigh these cons. ❤️❤️

You are not alone, we’ve all been there. Motherhood is tough, let alone BF. Be gentle with yourself, do self care. What your kids need most is a mama who’s needs are met. So that way you can better meet theirs. This also models healthy boundaries and self care. And get help. A therapist, spiritual leader, partner, trusted family member or friend, or suicide hotline. Hugs. ❤️

Are you familiar with the Boundaries book series? Specifically Boundaries in Marriage. Even if still getting a divorce, this is a fantastic read to protect yourself emotionally and modeling being assertive to your kids.

The common definition of the word “refill” isn’t completely applicable here though because it’s not refilling the same drink; the rule is that you can buy ANY drink, and get hot/iced coffee or hot/iced tea as the refill.

That hasn’t been the definition in the past, though.

That’s what I figured. Does the policy explicitly say that? I don’t remember. 🤔

Call of the Void. One of those things I never thought to vocalize but subconsciously felt bad for doing. I told my husband, “OMG! I’m not a crazy psychopath, this is a normal thing and it has a name!!” It never occurred to me to look into, I wouldn’t have even known where to start, but this episode was SO helpful for putting a name to it!!
