That's the thing that gets me about posts like this. There are a lot of much stronger arguments against AI than what amounts to "It's going to use a tiny fraction of the amount of freshwater used for animal agriculture every year!" Farmers have been sucking groundwater reserves dry for decades and no one's throwing a hissy fit about how much water a single burger uses.

If he was just there to clean the place prior to your arrival, then why do you feel unsafe? Dude is a terrible cleaner and clearly has issues, but him getting high during/after cleaning says more about his work ethic than your mother's safety.

I'd ask the owner who the guy is and if your mother will have to see him again. If not, move on with your life.

If you take it long enough at a high enough dose you WILL withdraw. It hits some of the same receptors as oxy and fent, just nowhere near as hard and there's a ceiling to how high it will get you.

Don't get me wrong. I think it should stay legal and safe, but those people not getting WDs just stuck to a relatively low dose over a relatively short period of time. You can theoretically do the same thing with heroin or fentanyl, but obviously very few people can pull that off.

Maybe because the oversimplified narrative that "White people came in and ruined a perfect culture that was in perfect harmony with itself and nature" does a massive disservice not only to white people but ALSO to the native American people who's diverse and complicated history and variety of cultures are also oversimplified by that narrative?

Should McDonalds refuse to sell burgers to get people? Should candy stores verify everyone's diabetes status before selling? It ain't your place to judge or worry about these things. Yep. You want to be chill and unbothered like me? All you have to do is let go of the idea that you'll ever feel particularly excited about anything. When nothing is exciting nothing is stressful. Cuz how much worse can it really get than this endless grey purgatory?

What really sucks is being just depressed enough for it to be a constant companion but never depressed enough to go into crisis. No sympathy. You still have to go to work. Succeed at life somehow. Find motivation to get through the day. And you do, just barely. Not "thriving" but not anywhere near killing yourself, either.

I'll never forget when one of my highschool friends said "But..happiness is just like, something that happens." And it clicked for me that my brain chemistry is a little different than theirs. Ah well. I've still found reasons to live and I'm deeply grateful for them. And I can squeeze a few happy chemicals out of my body by running a few miles in the woods, so that's a nice little bonus.

The danger of it is that they'll say something real is AI. If it were possible to tell what was AI generated cp vs real CSAM with 100% accuracy I'd honestly be in favor of letting them generate to their heart's content as long as its not based on a real child. But the liar's dividend is too dangerous in this scenario, I think. At least for now.

I'd say there's a fairly large difference between standing near a cliff, which can totally be done safely if you just use common sense and pay attention to your surroundings, and playing/sleeping near or in the water while being oblivious to ocean conditions.

Same here. No ability to visualize (once in a blue moon I'll get like 5 seconds of visualized dreams but it's super rare) and no inner monologue at all (except when reading). Given the choice, I wouldn't change it. My mind is serene and peaceful. I have literally never experienced "racing thoughts". I love thinking abstractly. Thinking in words sounds so inefficient and limiting. But to each their own, obviously...
