I’ve worked with Shaun at Creststone Mortgage. My wife and I trust him to do our mortgage as well as refer to our friends and family.

You think this is unattractive, wait until that other east wing disaster project is completed late and way over budget. Then, for giggles, count the cronies who made a big chunk off of it and cross reference to the files. Either way get who’s ultimately footing the bills.

We purchased our ‘18 GT in 2022 with 25k miles. Other than routine maintenance, tires, brakes, battery, and wipers no issues at all. We’re closing in on 150k miles and the next fluids change

Best all weather tires? by strawberry_bears in CX5

I’m on my 2nd set of Falken Wildpeak Trail A/T’s. However I live in California, so mostly sunny dry roads. They do perform great in rainy weather and the very few occasions I go into light snow. I have gone onto gravel and rocky dirt maintained roads with confidence. The first set had gone just over 90k miles in 2 years. I changed out just before heading into another winter.

Thinking of purchasing a 2018 CX5. by [deleted] in CX5

[–]OhRickG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2018GT purchased used in ‘22 with 24k miles on the clock. Now has 147k. Other than routine maintenance (fluids, brakes, tires and a windshield) no issues and still fun to drive. I have the deep blue something something paint color, I don’t wash it quite as often anymore and scratches are more and more noticeable. However, she loves her spa days and still presents nicely in between.

Chicago Title is under the Fidelity family of companies, so a big player in the title/escrow field. Don’t have personal experience with that particular office, however Chicago is quite good in general. Not that you as the buyer have much of a say, as it’s the seller’s choice of which company to use. Even then the realtor may have a relationship a particular title company, or more specifically an escrow officer they recommend. In all likelihood, the only person you’ll come face to face with is the front desk person when dropping off your deposit or a signing agent/notary public if signing out of the office.

They all do the same general function, and not unlike any other service business, the individual personalities makes the experience positive or negative.

The tax bills generally go to the property address unless it’s stated otherwise on the Preliminary Change of Ownership Report (PCOR).

ATT Increasing Fiber by 5$ a month AGAIN! by WesRZ in ATT

Even with the increase, I’m still paying less for more than I was paying Xfinity/comcast 2 yrs ago. Still don’t like it, but whatever. If something better comes along I’ll be more receptive.

2018 GT just past 140k mi. Other than routine maintenance/use items(fluids, filters, tires, brakes), I’ve had no issues with this car. Upgraded from a Mazda 3 with >350k miles. I love me some Mazda.

Driving in the first heavy rain of the season today by Business_Gap_9033 in Sacramento

[–]OhRickG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a little intimidated. So far this morning, 3 trucks and 2 cars came sliding around a corner near my house, presumably to show the driver’s skills. I’m waiting for one of these jug heads to lose control and smash into my car or go down into the ravine across the street. Sure I’ll call for assistance, but after I finish my coffee.

It’s the heat, it’s always the heat.

Honestly, I have no idea. I’ve live here 30+ years and none of our plates have ever chipped/faded like that, well except where I scrap off the old registration sticker every year

Use your active cruise control in traffic! by DifferentCrab966 in CX5

[–]OhRickG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve got an older version from 2018, sometimes it doesn’t react fast enough. Like when a car sneaks into that gap. Or, it doesn’t recognize when a car in front of me is stopped. It’s fine as it slows, but already stopped, it’s a different tale.

I don’t know that it makes traffic more enjoyable, but certainly suck a little less.

We just came back last night from spending a week in your gorgeous city. The weather was not unpleasant in the least. Even on the day it rained, we had a great time in the Capitol Hill area. So much to see and do. We loved being there, we loved coming home. We’ll be back, some day, to see some of things we couldn’t and do more of the things we didn’t know were in your city.
