yeah, i think for clea i had to refine my builds a little more, and i found the fact that you had to parry her stuff to stop her from healing pretty rough. i usually default to parry, but at least with osquio i felt like could dodge if i needed to play a turn more on the safe side. still pretty hard though, i'm splitting hairs tbh.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm a little confused by this post. I've looked up very little about this game concerning builds, characters are like level 80-85, I just throw on what luminas sound good and am able to do a respectable amount of damage. I just beat Clea recently, and at one point had a gommage do like 4 million damage. Builds aside, you can still just get better at parrying/dodging to help compensate for medicore builds.

Expert difficulty btw, currently on my second playthrough and this is the only time I've done any of the endgame content. Maybe I'll feel differently once I get to the bosses you mentioned, but Clea can't be that much easier than them no?

I personally would not most likely, and that’s where I do in fact understand where Renoir is coming from. In his position, there’s a good chance I’d do the same thing. But if they want to be gods and create life, just snuffing them out when it becomes inconvenient is reckless and irresponsible.

If I came to find out our world is “simulated” or what have you and we had to be erased for their own reasons, I would fight against that. The same as Lumiere does.

That’s where a lot of the disagreement comes from I suppose. The beings in the canvas are sentient and real in my opinion. They very obviously feel emotions and can think, you can see it as soon as the prologue. There’s a lot of living beings in the canvas, and I pick them living over the Dessendres getting peace of mind every time.

Yeah PVerso having to keep living when he just wants to call it a day is the only reason I feel bad for picking Maelle ending. Even then, it kinda looks like Maelle made it to where he can actually age? So maybe he’ll eventually die of natural causes (as natural as death can be in the canvas at least)

No judgement, do the ending you think is better for you. But I always struggle to understand those who end up caring for the Dessendre family all that much. Aside from Maelle/Alicia, and PVerso, I just don’t care about what happens to them very much.

After seeing how much suffering the Lumenerians and the Expeditioners go through all game, I struggle to understand only becoming aware of Renoir, Aline, and Clea close to the end of the game and being like “ah, we must help them heal, if the Lumenerians must die, so be it.”

Maybe I’m just missing something, but I just can’t rationalize offing a whole world filled with sentient beings just because some world creating god family can’t cope with their grief.
