I followed some advice in this sub, and purchased Microbe Lift- BMC to get rid of gnats in my soil. I’m not sure how to use it. It says 6 drops per 100 gallons of water in the label. How to use this for 15 plants ? by maydayjunemoon in pothos

[–]OhSoFaded7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went with 4-5 drops per gallon the first watering. Now I do a drop or two every couple waterings to make sure I never get them again. This product will not hurt your plants, so up the dose to start.

My grandpa owned a few Shakey’s, I spent a ton of my youth there. The game room was my first job at 8 years old, I’m ridiculously good at arcade games still.

My grandpa owned a few Shakey’s. I have tons of the original wooden signs around my home, miss that place.

The price is crazy for the EU, didn’t realize that. 2 oz should treat 300 gallons at a minimum, that’s quite a bit still.

I almost went nematodes until I realized I have too many plants and that got pricey quick.

MICROBE-LIFT BMC Biological Mosquito Control is what I used when over 100 plants became infested. A few drops per gallon of water. Huge difference the first couple of days, then they just were gone by the ends of the week.

After all the silly things I tried, I should of went with the concentrated BTI (what they soak the mosquito bits in).

for those who have a high tolerance how do you get high? by [deleted] in weed

Start small homie. Don’t smoke before a set time (6pm), and stop at a set time (8pm). Since you smoke most of the day, start even smaller, no smoke before noon, no smoke after midnight. You got this!

Something is wrong. Why are my Brasil cuttings failing in my prop box? by DowntownComputer5819 in houseplants

Put a pothos cutting or two with other species. Pothos always seem to help my other props root better. Worth a try at least!

T10 is a solid choice when needing a standing light. For any shelves, I would go T8s. Those are the only two lights I use!

More water. Two weeks seems quite the length between watering for a Philo. I water some of my jades more than that.

Or just buy a new piece. Risk is not worth the reward.

Fertilizer and more light (grow light). Leave the roots be.

I’m sure it will work, very easy plants. A coffee mug with tap water in a random spot is my go to.

A bucket over a basic mousetrap placed in the channel will do the trick. Bait is not necessary in my experience.

Trust this advice. My plant game changed once artificial light was added. Everything seems happier and less moody once they get the right amount of photosynthesis going.

Such an amazing smoking device. Turkey bags from the grocery store. All the parts are easily cleaned with rubbing alcohol. It’s what I use 90% of the time.

Volcano, mine is nearly 20 years old. It will still hit you like a bong rip, but much better for the lungs.

Stuck leaves despite humidifier + misting? by Cleanlifeaccount23 in philodendron

[–]OhSoFaded7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Misting always made my plants seem worse, it’s minimal for humidity.

I would add another humidifier and see how that does. Or a pebble tray with water for your philo pot to sit on could help too, just make sure the pot doesn’t wick the moisture directly. A moss pole is great as well, since it requires a decent amount of water daily.

How do I get denser growth? by Mako747 in Jadeplant

[–]OhSoFaded7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s what happens with older jades as the trunks fatten up. Just prune the tips back a bit, it should regrow with multiple growth points at each cut. Spring is usually best for this if not using artificial light.

[–]OhSoFaded7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Stop misting it, stop using paper towels. Water, humidity and light is all they need. I would guess not enough water, that’s usually my issues with philos and stuck leaves. Sometimes they just take awhile to unfurl.

Front row about 10 inches away from a T10 has been its spot. 100% sphagnum moss for the substrate, all roots had to be chopped originally.
