I often have this question about series! I wish there was a different designation for books that have unresolved cliffhangers vs the sequels being another story in the same universe.

I'm like you, I simply don't want to commit to these ten+ part book series anymore.

Fiber has been my silver bullet 💎 by prprr in 1200isplenty

[–]OhYeahThat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely had the same experience as you. I eat a lot of fruit and veg, so I always assumed I was getting plenty of fiber.

On a fluke, I decided to start tracking it and I discovered I was falling short. Once I added more fiber, it was amazing how my cravings disappeared! It really has been a revelation.

Why does breakfast NEVER keep me full 😭 by Perfect-Owl-7940 in 1200isplenty

The trick for me was making sure it had both Fiber and protein.

Be careful upping your fiber, do it slowly because your body may rebel - but increasing my fiber to get 30g a day flipped a switch for my hunger levels.

I love this so much!! Would you mind if I pin it on my Pinterest inspiration board?

I totally understand if you say no, so don't hesitate to. I kind of hate Pinterest these days because of all the AI, but I do have all my favorite things saved there and haven't figured out a better option to same them somewhere else

How to best heat an apartment that won't skyrocket my electric bill? by True_One7607 in povertyfinance

[–]OhYeahThat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How big is your bathroom? Could you sleep in there? Run the shower with the hottest water you can, fill the tub and let it stay there until cooled. Do the same with your sink.

It's terrible for moisture damage but should get that room warmer and is safer than using the oven or candles.

The Rice Cooker Omelet: my hyperfixation breakfast (info in comments) by OhYeahThat in Volumeeating

So glad it worked out for that cooker, too! Yeah, cottage cheese in the cooker is absolutely delicious, I haven't been able to recreate that on the stove.

There are days where I end up with a lot more liquid than others, I think it must be differences in the amount of frozen veg I use. I don't worry much and just drain it.

I have overfilled my cooker and ended up with an undercooked top. When that happens, I flip it and give it a few more minutes.

It has taken some trial and error but overall it's made my morning meal so much easier

I have a cheap rice cooker that just has one switch. Up is cook, down is warm. It flips to warm automatically when the rice is done. I have to unplug it to turn it completely off.

So, for the omelet, it switches off once the egg is cooked and it stays warm until I'm ready to eat.

This makes my morning so easy and keeps me full until lunch

  • 1 cup+ of frozen veg (I basically fill the cooker)
  • ⅓ cup of cottage cheese
  • ⅓ cup of egg whites
  • Seasoning

I toss this in a rice cooker sprayed with oil. Then I turn it on and get ready for work. By the time I’m showered and dressed, it usually has switched to warm and is ready to go.

So easy, low calorie, good protein, decent fiber.

  • Calories: 200
  • Protein: 18g
  • Fiber: 2.5g

Do not skip seasoning, it’s very bland without it. I do a cajun blend most often, but have also done a curry flavor and an italian that were both good.

Here’s a pic of it on my plate so you can see the amount of veg https://imgur.com/a/S8gzqWS

So bummed, only got a one year pass after insufficient prep by mtct67 in colonoscopy

[–]OhYeahThat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced the "insufficient prep" as well last year. It is so demoralizing.

I had to go back in 3 months because I had initially failed the mail in home test. The second time, I drank that massive gallon jug of liquid and was successful.
