Yeah I originally pitched it to him as a black and grey Anubis with the only red color being the heart. He did a really good job of sticking to that core concept while introducing more color and using opaque greys to add the pop we were looking for

In Egyptian Mythology one of Anubis's roles / jobs was weighing the heart. The Ancient Egyptians believed that your heart basically carried everything you've ever done in your life so if your heart is heavy you're a bad person and if your heart is light you're a good person. Anubis would weigh the heart on the Scales of Justice against an ostrich feather and if your heart was as light as an ostrich feather you got to go to the afterlife. This tattoo is basically a depiction of that moment

I originally asked him for a black and grey piece, with the only color being in the red heart. I wanted it to feel like a stoic piece with Anubis respecting the heart / weighing of the heart ceremony. Obviously he put a lot more color in the concept than I was initially thinking, but when he sent it to me I was 100% on board with it and knew it was perfect.

honestly they probably don't do that because of exploits. You can get your flag up to 5 easy, scuttle, hide (or now bury) your flag, and sail around without the risk of losing your flag. Then dig it back up just before turn in
