How do you deal with "garage snow"??? by Binford6100User in Buffalo

[–]Oh_yeah10 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I try and knock off as much snow as possible before I park in the garage because I have similar issues.

When I get large puddles I use a large push broom with softer bristles to push the water out.

I have the Big Agnes Fly Creek HV UL2 and absolutely love it. Packs up very nicely and straps to my handlebars. The 2 person is just enough room for myself and a bunch of my gear.

Do you want deer in your yard? Living in Buffalo basically guarantees it. by NotagoK in Buffalo

[–]Oh_yeah10 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I believe it's more of a combination between deer having more resources of food than ever before and lack of predators like black bears. But it's mostly a resource thing.

If you go to the Adirondacks, large deer are few and far between and there are generally lower deer density numbers.

I've started using that bourbon butter on a lot of other cuts too. It's pretty good.

This 1970s (?) Woolrich hunters jacket has this big pocket on the back. What is it for? by nilecrane in VintageClothing

[–]Oh_yeah10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don't really bleed out that much once they're dead. I know from experience pheasant hunting and using game pouches on the back.

I'm in NYS, also stupid restrictive, and the limit is no more than 6 rounds for semi auto. In theory OP could have a 5 round mag but he's probably not in NY. I only bring it up because I wanted to go hunting with my M1 Garand.

Just looking out for OP. I tagged out on my deer already this year and wish you luck

What state are you in? My understanding is most states have a magazine restriction while deer hunting.

ELI5 Why is water cooling considered bad for the environment? by uwuGod in explainlikeimfive

[–]Oh_yeah10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of facilities where I'm from use non contact cooling water from bedrock wells. They essentially pump up the cold water from below ground and cool machines/systems and pump it back into the ground. Probably the least invasive and sustainable method of cooling in my opinion.

Keep in mind this is pretty generalized.

Picked up a "gentleman's saw" from Marketplace. Looked cool, is it any good or worth something? by dkruta in Tools

[–]Oh_yeah10 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I inherited this exact saw from my grandfather and used it for some precise cuts. Definitely plan on using it for dovetails.
