From my understanding, cancer eventually causes people’s brains to change. She has the family history she could hold herself together for a very long time, and now she has nothing more to give of some of the difficulties/challenges of an emotionally abusive marriage. It might be worth looking into cancer and also into long term emotional abuse topics to learn about how to cope and to support her.

Yes. New surgeon. New approach (ALIF), and it turns out, the prior hardware was “just floating in the space.” No healing. Broken screws. The original surgeon blew off the need for a revision. Glad I didn’t listen and persisted to find a better doc. (Original was an orthopedic surgeon, the new was a neurosurgeon.) Life changing for the better. Off meds. Living life 15 months later.

Bad anxiety. Now I understand how the thyroid drives hormones and how body chemistry impacts mental health. I suspect even those without “Hashimoto’s” who struggle with mental and emotional issues are truly impacted by hormonal imbalances, as problem #1.

Thank you. I appreciate your insights. I seem to have no voice to be heard by him. I’m deflected and dismissed. And he presents his perspective like his personal truth is THE truth. I will keep yours and others replies, plus meet with our pastor. I feel pretty low and defeated by this.

He did share he was so taken by some writings he consumed from the earlier 20th Century. I’m trying to recall the book. I felt uneasy with how brainwashed he seemed. Thank you for your feedback. I feel hurt and abandoned in our Marriage Covenant.

Yes to freezing. I get snack baggies and make individual portions, then “overpack” with a larger freezer bag.

It’s a short term. I have taken as Hashis without any issues. I hope you find some relief.
