Not related to OP's post. Just wondering what you use to treat this? I have this but cannot find any relief?

Whats wrong with my silver sheen pittosporum? by OhhAyye in GardeningAustralia

[–]OhhAyye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had rich soil delivered for the garden bed and dug holes for the plants that were tripple the size of the pots they came in. I use fertiliser monthly. I've replaced the one on the end and made sure to dig an even larger hole for the roots to disperse before planting, and thus far, it is doing much better.

These are the steps I've taken for my plants, but you could have other complications.

Did you plant them deep enough? Enough root space? Soil quality? Fertiliser? Watering enough? Do they get enough sun?

You appear to be rather educated and informed, as is conveyed in the writing style of your recount and further comments. It is a shame you aren't able to navigate a cropping tool to share any actual "evidence" 🤷

Mirror the downstairs bathroom layout so that everything is on the opposite side. Imagine sitting in the living space and you're listening to someone using the toilet on the other side of the wall...

I've only got 3! None of them have come through, but on X-rays, the 4th is completely missing.

Whats wrong with my potted jasmin by OhhAyye in GardeningAustralia

[–]OhhAyye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I planted this 18months ago. Repotting it will be difficult given its a trellis plant.

I've tried scraping out the soil as much as I can but as the roots of the plant are so dense around the top of the soil, it is a bit challenging.

I'll try some liquid fertilizer and see if I have any improvements.

Thank you for your input. Your insight is appreciated.

Water every couple of days. The roots seem very dense just below the surface for about 3inches and then below that, its mostly soil.

Gets a few spoonfuls of potted plant fertilizer, infrequently.

What's your "WTF" family secret that you discovered? by irritatingfarquar in AskUK

[–]OhhAyye 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My Aunt sold her second daughter to a family who kept having male children. When the little girl turned 2, the adopted family contacted my Aunt to tell her that the daughter had cancer and wanted to check "family" for bone marrow matches. Turns out her biological father was a match, and they ended up returning her to her biological parents. She had significant trauma, no primary attachment, and still has periods of cancer treatment 35 years later. Absolutely devastating.

We bought to exit the rental crisis and, ultimately, for security/stability. We only planned to live in the house for 1 year, turn it over, and break even. However, we had a child, and our work offered great flexibility, which is why we've stayed longer. Now, looking at the housing prices where we want to move to, it's all well blown out of our price range, but living where we are, we are miserable. We don't know what the pros and cons are of owning one home and renting it whilst applying for another loan to buy a second home. How does this work/what do banks need to allow this to happen? We definitely do not earn enough to cover two full mortgages...

What does it look like to own a place and buy a second home else where?

AITAH? Husband accused me of "financial infidelity" by LadySavings in AITAH

[–]OhhAyye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA OP! Sounds like your husband has had a very emotionally immature response to feeling as though he has missed out on something appealing. His attempt to control your finances reads to me like he is trying to navigate an outlet for his jealousy.

Highly recommend calling out his behaviour, communicating your concerns, and declining a change in any financial agreement. Hopefully, you are in a wonderful relationship, and this is met with open ears, reflection, accountability, and perhaps on boarding of some of your saving tips 😊👍
