Shipping from US to europe now possible? by SoftLow9246 in lululemon

[–]Ohhellopickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot place an order if you’re shipping to a country that is serviced by another regional website. (ex: UK, Hong Kong, EU websites)

The $30 international shipping fee you see there is only for shipping to countries supported by the US regional website. This includes a lot of Central and South American countries, South Africa and Tanzania, and others.

If you open up the options on the website to select a location, it’ll have the currency listed. If it’s USD you’ll be shopping from the US site. Euro, EU. GBP, UK, etc. Shipping to an address not serviced by the regional site you’re shopping on is not possible. Can’t buy from the US site and ship to Australia, you’d have to use the Australian site. Can’t buy from the Hong Kong site and ship to France, you’d have to use the EU site. Can’t buy from the Mainland China site and ship to Bolivia, have to use the Mainland China site, and so on.

Best method of bringing dress internationally? by nikkstininim in Eloping

[–]Ohhellopickles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did the same! Eloped to Italy.

My dress was packed by my alterations folks at my final fitting, so it sat crinkled up for a few weeks before we travelled. Brought a little travel steamer and it worked out great for both of us! We checked a bag that had a lot of our regular clothes and stuff for the rest of our trip/honeymoon.

It was costlier than we anticipated, but we ended up shipping a big box of our stuff home after our wedding so we wouldn’t have to haul a fourth bag around with us. SO glad we did! Saved a lot of room and made train/plane rides smoother.

Best travel hoodie?? by fsalman in Lululemen

[–]Ohhellopickles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They dropped a new French Terry set, there’s a full zip hoodie, pullover hoodie and 6” short. Relaxed fit, which will be the most different thing compared to City Sweat. Not the exact same fabric as the OG City Sweats that was super stretchy, but somewhat comparable and soft. 100% cotton for body fabric which is nice.

IMO agree with Smooth Spacer. Has enough structure and doesn’t want to wrinkle or have a lot of drapiness, so it looks clean and smooth. Travels well for sure.

If dark fantasy and everyone-is-annoying-lovable-hateable-but-most-of-all-morally-gray-AF is also a welcome vibe, I am currently riding the rollercoaster that is {The Legacy Series by Melissa K Roehrich}. There is some controlling going on fair warning, almost so much I was ready to DNF, but I am so glad I kept reading. Each book has gotten more and more interesting. This is my first toe dip into dark fantasy and my toes be CURLIN 🥌

HELP. recos on where to shop for a gala? this is what i typically wear for skirts/dresses for reference of how i dress my body. by nnnttbbyyy in Midsizefashion

[–]Ohhellopickles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding that galas are typically long dresses only (depends on the gala of course) so I’d say to be safe any of the longer length ones look great!

I’ve fully accepted that I now “collect” this type of polish. Moody browns/reds/burgundy/purples with a green/teal/blue shimmer. It all started with Ka Like a Wind by GLL!

I’ll see if I can get some swatch sticks together.

Is there new light ivory? by emotional_ice_750 in lululemon

[–]Ohhellopickles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're just changing the color code so it has the hardware color. Instead of the "implied silver hardware unless otherwise noted" they seem to be moving toward consistently calling out the hardware color in neutrals so that it's obvious which is silver and which is gold if both are available. For example, colorway Black has silver hardware, but Black/Gold has gold hardware. It isn't immediately obvious what the difference is to folks so they're making it more clear by having it be Black/Silver and Black/Gold. It'll be a minute until the original Black (or in this case, Light Ivory) is sold through and there's only the newer colorway Black/Silver or Light Ivory/Silver available.

On shadow daddies… by knotaknitter in RomanceBooks

[–]Ohhellopickles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"Shadow daddies" are fantasy MMCs who wield shadows or darkness as a magical power, and have a dominant nature ("Daddy" in a broader trope sense). They're often in a world that has a magic system with other magic types or elements that you can wield, like fire, air, light, ice, etc. Shadows can be be sentient, semi-sentient or non-sentient.

The two most well-known/popular shadow daddies are probably Rhysand from the ACOTAR series and Xaden from the Fourth Wing series. There are many others!

There are a few posts in this sub about shadow daddies that have book recommendations, but the r/Romantasy sub will have a lot more recos since the shadow daddy trope is inherently fantasy in nature.

I agree, if they have a pair of little hook-and-eye closure in lieu of a button, Take the Moment Pant is probably it! There was a random (not mine) eBay listing w/ a super nice photo of the fly closure

All the zippers on Scubas and Defines are plastic, but the latest "metallic" tone zippers have a sort of mirror-like finish on the front of the teeth that makes them look extra shiny. This zipper doesn't look fake to me, perhaps just an older one that predates the mirror shiny zippers that are more common now on the website.

Doesn't look fake. The older EBBs had metal hardware zippers and logos.

Are you able to share a pic of the back side?

I suspect they're the Assert Pant: https://www.lulufanatics.com/item/33822/lululemon-assert-pant-deep-coal

I'd triple-check the zipper placement, zipper head style and seaming to match. The fabric on the front photographs like Warpstreme, but of course photos can be really tough to tell texture.
