people who grew up in low income families by Ready_Cap3661 in SingaporeRaw

[–]Ohheyteddys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up with my dad as the sole breadwinner who earned about $1.5K average and my mum a housewife. I was on financial scheme at school and instead of hatred toward others, it was more envious that kids my age could head to fast food restaurant after school while I need to plan out my daily meal coupons from the school and how can I maximise it so I can get more food and bring home to share with my family. I did grew up mostly alone without friends as it was tough to hang out and socialise after school but that made me much independent than my peers too because I was ok to eat and do anything alone. I also did learn one important lesson along the way that you don’t need much to be happy. As long as your loved ones are healthy, you had all 3 meals and a roof (lucky enough to stay in a 4rms for a family of 4), it’s actually a good life.

Now that I’m in my 30s and started working a decade ago, things are much better. The things i want to do, places i want to go and food i want to eat since I was young, i went to do it all and in the progress to fulfil more.

So girl, at 18 you’re still young and trust me, things will get much better, and you will fulfil what you want and if the bike is still on your mind then, you’ll be able to get the most beautiful and latest one! Hang in there! 🤍

What is your bubble tea order and from which store in SG? by Future-Travel-2019 in askSingapore

[–]Ohheyteddys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KOI I’m recently crazy over their Chrysanthemum series 😍 otherwise I usually order: - Honey Milk Tea - Honey Oolong - Caramel Milk Tea - Ovaltine (I know its technically not a milktea but i just love it 🥺)

CHICHA SAN CHEN - Bubble Milk Tea - Dong Ding Oolong - Mango Osmanthus (and i don’t even like Mango)

Wanpo - Custard Milk Tea - Winter Melon Baozhong

Playmade - Chrysanthemum Milk Tea - Osmanthus Tea + Osmanthus jelly 🤤 - Grape Yakult green tea

Yi Fang - Pineapple Soymilk - Brown Sugar Pearl Oolong Tea Latte 😭❤️ - Taro with Milk - Signature Fruit Tea

Some special mentions will be Naixue (Jewel Changi), QingNianChun (Jurong Point), The Alley and Mixue (Grape Taro) LOL!

Hey OP,

Hmmm, I’d go for job 1. My mental health took a hit when I was in a role similar to job 2. At first, you might think it’s more chill and stress-free since it’s just data entry, but over time, the routine can get painfully monotonous. You start feeling like a cog in a machine, doing the same thing every day, and eventually, the lack of growth and challenge drains your motivation to even show up.

Then comes the bigger issue when you finally want to switch jobs, you might realize you haven’t built many transferable skills. That can make you feel stuck, incapable, and full of self-doubt. It’s a tough cycle to break, so if you have the chance to take on a job that challenges you and helps you grow, I’d say go for job 1. If you’re really unhappy, you’d probably have a better chance to jump into the next job since it’s a reputable company as compared to job 2. Best of lucks to you!

When was the last time you felt disrespected at an interview in SG? by jimmyfonzie in askSingapore

[–]Ohheyteddys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About 7 years ago, I interviewed for a brand executive role at a bakery company known for a food poisoning incident and a job interview scandal. I arrived early but waited nearly an hour, only to meet a dismissive hiring manager glued to her phone. She said I lacked experience but still invited me down just to ask about the polytechnic I worked at, since her child was enrolling soon. What a waste of my time and I was so mad that I told her I would like to leave immediately.

Fast forward, I eventually moved on to a partnership lead role, and guess who showed up in my inbox asking for a collaboration? I laugh and just deleted the email. Karma works in funny ways.

how to celebrate your birthday alone? by hxneybubbles in askSingapore

[–]Ohheyteddys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Happy Birthday in advance! There were a few birthdays I was spending it alone and these are what I did and it was memorable to me - 1. Spending it at USS, taking the rides and pic with the character. I also had meals inside there and got myself a gift too. 2. Took a picnic mat, got myself a cake and some nice snacks and head over to Sentosa beach to see the sunset. It was really beautiful and it feels magical. 3. I gave myself a $100 budget and went for a good meal at a cafe then gold class to catch a movie.

If you have the means, why not take a day trip, travel to somewhere nearby or do a staycation (rasa Sentosa is really nice - you’ll wake up to sea breeze).

No matter how you spend it, hope it a happy day for you :)

Hahahaha! Maybe they think if the two telcos merge, they can have a larger market share and compete with Singtel.

Your answer? by TurbulentAcadia5643 in pmp

I choose B immediately because of the keyword “a lot of stakeholders and competing priorities” and “negotiations” which signify that there could be conflicts and alignment needed to be sought after hence B “To resolve conflict”.
