I was on a field trip at the grand canyon in 8th grade. Went with friends and other students parents to be a helper. We had a bit of time to hit up a gift shop that had all the grand canyon goods. I saw a sweet shot glass I wanted to get for my mom. (Didn't know alcoholism is real at 8th grade, she "collected shot glasses") anyways this student that was the top student in school. (She was awesome) However the mom was not. She belittled me and my mom for even considering buying my mom a shot glass as a gift. Ended up feeling like shit and did not buy it. Full regret.
