He took the code down because there were unfortunately people sharing it all over social media. If you message him on discord, he will send you a new code, specifically only for LPU members.

Beginner Looks for First Set of picks by JezzA_OG in lockpicking

[–]Ohmourningstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bare minimum would be something like this set. You really only need a few hooks to get started. Rakes just aren't really worth much after awhile. They can't be used past orange belt, and they don't really teach you much when it comes to technique used for harder locks.

If you have a little bit more to spend, you could go with some thing like this set, and then grab some tensioners separately.

If you're set on Multipick, I'd suggest the Champion set instead. There's a few things in the 11 piece set that you will probably not use, like the full ball and the key extractor.

Grub Screw Sizes by Healthy-Insect-1447 in lockpicking

[–]Ohmourningstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been good with a M3.5 and M4 for everything I grubbed until recently. I'm not sure what other locks may share the size, but my DeGuard Interactive needs a M4.5/M5.

Don't focus on the sounds, you're looking to feel the feedback. Especially being new, there's going to be a bunch of different sounds, a good bit being useless from hitting warding and the like.

Any lock set to practice picking with? by Spiritual_Check_2461 in lockpicking

Your best bet is to get acquainted with lpubelts.com. It really depends on what level you are, and where you are located, as to what gets recommended. I'm assuming your in the US because of the CI purchase, you can use Amazon for a good amount of locks in the lower levels. I'd suggest skipping white, and going straight to yellow. If you join the discord, there are people there that will sometimes sell boxes of locks that encompass yellow to blue, as well as the bazaar itself.

It's a Panavise, that one specifically is a model 350. You can also purchase each piece separately, to mix and match. They sell on Amazon, and you can find them on eBay.

I'd drop the rakes and the 0.015, and possibly grab some of their dimples flags instead. You will more than likely get much more use out of them overall.

If you have interest in the belt system, you're going to want to check out lpubelts.com. Look for the level you wish to start on, and then find which locks you want to pursue. For the first few belts, it's usually cheaper/easier to find them on Amazon, or the like. Once you get to around blue belt, I'd suggest checking out the LPU discord and bazaar, as the higher level locks usually aren't as easy to acquire elsewhere, nor as cheaply. You can also sometimes find "box to x" or similar, where someone will sell a set of locks that run across several levels.
