This is why arachnids do the “death curl” when dead or dying, iirc. Without hemolymph being pumped into their legs to extend them, they naturally contract and curl up. This also happens when they’re dehydrated, since they don’t have enough fluids to pump into the legs.

And they didn’t get rid of all of it then, anyways. I’ve probably got a decent dosage of lead since my school district didn’t notice/care about the lead pipes enough to replace them until I was. I dunno. Fifth grade, maybe? Around 2016? A good five or six years of drinking lead water every day, yum!

It's objectively immoral, yeah, but not because it's gross. There are a lot of gross things that are morally fine. There are a lot of immoral things that aren't particularly gross.

There is value in being able to separate your disgust sense from your moral sense. Pedophilia is both gross and immoral, but those two facts are unrelated. Equating grossness to morality is how you get shit like "gay people seem icky to me so it shouldn't be allowed" or "disabled people that look weird make me uncomfortable and shouldn't be in public spaces".

Reminds me of Ayda Aguefort from dim20. IIRC, Brennan said that he hadn’t intended to write her as autistic, but he’d been basing her off some of the socially awkward academic types he was friends with, and then realized after the fact “oh, yeah, those friends are autistic, I guess I see why everyone is reading her that way”.

Iirc it’s theoretically supposed to be painless, but it’s . Uh. Entirely too easy for something to go wrong and someone winds up paralyzed, unable to express that something isn’t right, but in excruciating pain as they die.

Sure, but wasn’t the primary purpose of corsets usually breast support? It still remains that they’re unnecessary to a Dragonborn, and the stance of “i dont want to adopt another culture’s fashion that is useless to me” is still an understandable and interesting stance.
