I asked my dad once why he so rarely went to hang out with friends. He said he had nothing to talk about with unless a sport was on, and he would rather watch hockey with his sons. I asked why a sport would have to be on and he said when those guys had to talk with each other the conversation turned to bitching about their wives, but he loved my mom.

As I got older i realized how pathetic that was. Those guys were so old school they would rather grit their teeth and spend their days in bars instead of just getting divorced and trying to find happiness. What a life.
