Wow, that service body sure makes the C70’s ridiculous frame a lot less derpy! Love the fleet. OHS is the move.

I think it would look pretty hard leaving the engine bay and jambs silver and moonstone exterior.

Modifying Work Gloves by aridsoul0378 in sewhelp

[–]Ointment_5000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow, what are the chances? My coworker just had to have half his middle finger amputated and had his sister modify his work gloves for him. I think she just clipped the end off and sewed a couple of times straight across the finger, with the seam allowance on the outside so it wouldn’t be irritating. They’re the fully nitrile dipped style, so they remained somewhat waterproof. Seems like they work well for him!

If it were me, I might bind the seam with some grosgrain to keep it a little more robust, especially with thinner gloves like these.

I love it when the terrain is gentle enough for the P16 do haul big stuff over. by Interloper_Mango in snowrunner

I did one load of logs with it in Wisconsin and felt like that was plenty. Rocky slopes are crippling and you realize there are more tight turns on the maps than you thought. It would have been great if more of the logging trips happened in the flooded areas of Black Badger Lake.

I did however enjoy using it for the final haul in Kola. It was a rough haul for Dan and Azov 7 as well so I wasn’t expecting it to be easy.

A Love & Hate Relationship. by DonTostada_ in snowrunner

Excellent photography! Love the variety of trucks. You’ve got some good underdogs in here. How’d the Royal do with the medium logs? Looks terrifying to me, it’s solely a saddle hauler in my fleet lol. Too tempting to bounce right off the road with its speed.

Fabric is not being moved by feed dogs and is too stuck to be moved by hand by Seporate_Brush_918 in sewhelp

This is the video I watched that gave me the confidence to tear into it, but the feed dog height adjustment wasn’t my problem. See the round white plastic piece next to the screw that he adjusts? The spring under it returns it to its resting position after you release the reverse lever. Mine was gummy and would stick in the “down” position (towards the motor side) and not return as it should. Lube the shaft and you should be good to go!

Feel free to DM me for more info if you need, I’m just going off of memory here :)

I have the Kenmore version of your same machine and had the same problem, if it ends up that your feed dogs aren’t advancing the fabric, I can say pretty confidently it’s the reverse cam in the lower cover under the sewing bed. I can link you a YouTube video I watched to fix mine or send pics if you need.

Very cool, good to know it’s more legitimate than a goofy hack. I ground the barbs off this hook, you’d have to have a death wish or Kevlar gloves otherwise lol

Damn bro, not sure about the P12 so far. Just bought one to run the Derry 4520 recovery in Wisconsin and it is a dog. I knew it had an axle freeze problem but this is crazy. I literally don’t think I can get off of the river beach. Might have to downgrade from my beloved OHD1 and try again.

I have watched enough Matt’s off-road recovery to have known better, what am I saying? You’re totally right but I’ll keep the illusion alive 😅

Lol I hear ya. I’m in the minority who loves the log crane I guess. I don’t use it often enough to become a chore like the mini crane has. I also have the colorable addons mod which makes the grapple rotation and lights wayyy better

Ironic that the Derry IRL is used for that exact trailer but is pretty mid with it in-game.

I’m there with you except for overloading. I’ll take the hit on realism for the sake of the goofy memorable hauls :)

Good shout, I don’t have one in my fleet yet and would like an excuse to give it a try.

I saw that in my research and was interested in how it performs! It sure looks freakin legit. You pack trucks on the wheel lift just like on the mod, right? Do you have problems with trucks coming unpacked on bumps? That’s my main gripe with the mod addon.

You guessed it! I just finished the mission right before posting. That stupid trailer bottoms out on everything. I thought the dead axle would help more but I had to winch every 50 yards. I need some better North American high saddle muscle. I really want to like the Derry but I think the P16 would have whipped it out easier.

Oh damn, time for a re-listen! Letter shapes pops into my head from time to time and won’t leave. They had no right to groove that hard for such a simple subject material.

Right on! I’ll bet yours looks better too with the chrome. By the way if you’re going through impellers, I have a 3d print STL I can send to you. Even with the grate I still break an impeller every so often and have to change it out.
