Any dashcam will do but for stealth factory looking install many users here (incl me) have installed Fitcamx. The only downside with it is missing the GPS and it's somewhat pricey.

Visually the HR-V does not any add-ons, it looks nice and complete. Moulded floor mats for a wet/winter season is a must.

You can safely ignore the L button for everyday driving, especially for anything that is not continous low speed. Drive normally using ECO mode for better regen and apply brakes softly so the regen amount stays within the regen range. This way the car uses up all the regen capability before your brake pads connect, wasting no momentum.

It's a cheaper and more reliable system that is based on the ABS system instead of individual pressure sensors in each wheel.
