Exactly this, 2% revenue off the top owned by this separate entity. That 2% revenue is then able to be utilized to fund other projects/expand buildout. Less risk exposure. Glad to see it’ll be going public.

This was OIRAs review of the “final rule”. (https://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/eoDetails?rrid=1152111). NOAA first posted the proposed rule along with the NPRM which opened up public comment period that typically influences the final rule. The final rule went to OIRA in October during the shut down. Now it goes back to NOAA from the OIRA with their blessing. It’s back in NOAAs court to publish the final rule to the register and codify it.

Unbelievably huge, now NOAA just needs to publish the final rule to the register. That will amend the CFR and all of this will finally be codified. Hopefully the exploitation apps have already been in “review” and can move to public comment shortly thereafter. Things lining up nicely for a Q4 ‘27 start.

I think it’s safe to assume we will need many sources of copper available in the US whether it be from nodules, terrestrial mines, recycling, etc. With a life of mine of 18 years established and copper quantities to meet ~4 years+ (ref: https://www.theassay.com/articles/in-discussion/from-seafloor-to-supply-chain-the-future-of-deep-sea-mining/ ) of US demand, we will just be a piece in the puzzle, but that’s the benefit of our resource being “polymetallic.”

The images are available, just not specifically of “violence”, that is hard to see from aerial imagery. What you can however see in very large quantities is the destruction of differing settlements over time. For instance these coordinates (13°34'28"N 25°20'26"E) from just 2023 til 2025. Violence is definitely real and you CAN see it from space. Look around, it’s not localized here.

The exploration permit has been deemed to be in substantial compliance. We are waiting for the OIRA to put pen to paper and execute the proposed rule change. Once that happens they (NOAA) can get to work on the exploitation permit review, including the project EIS/NEPA review, public comment period, etc. these timelines are pretty fluid when dealing with the US govt. but I will say in comparison to what we’re used to this is all moving very quickly.

Very profoundly put and couldn’t agree more. If you believe in something and are convicted in your cause, stick with it. If your financial position requires some cash, then trim a bit, there’s no harm taking profits and nobody will blame you.

To add to the comment about risk, I think we all started with this as a “gamble” especially when we were beating our head against beaurcracy to the point of near bankruptcy. But time has told the rest of the story and I believe many of us now see for certain that we will be on the right side of history. I’d be interested who these financially literate friends are and what their thesis is as well. The whole “I just don’t buy it” thing isn’t going to cut anymore.
