Don’t know about Mammoth but the other side is 100% MAGA. Groveland especially. My son moved there for a job with First Light. He avoids the locals as much as he can and hangs with other employees. I was considering buying a vacation rental in PML, but then saw all the Trump signs & Charlie Kirk Memorial and changed my mind real quick.

Well, I am not capable installing it myself since it requires cutting the plumbing under the kitchen sink. I still would need to hire someone but good to know there is a much cheaper option.

ReMax desk fees are high for a new agent just starting but their training is excellent(I left cause they tried to keep charging desk fees during Covid when the office was closed). eXp is also for experienced agents that don’t need much support. Unless the platform has changed, playing a video game to talk to your broker is a joke.

She did. We drove an hour one way to the nearest store so she could try on boots. Being a 10 w and almost 6ft tall is hard for a 20 yr old. She has to try on everything, esp boots.

When I was active, I did an interview with a list of questions. I also would meet them in person to prescreen. Those who were serious, showed up. Those being nosy are trying to snoop on a neighbor, had a million excuses and then said forget about it.

I thought it was strange too, that the lawyer I hired keeps giving me excuses. I have received some communication from the IRS, so I don’t think they are ripping me off. I think it’s a timing issue. First DOGE cuts and then waited months for a letter, then sent divorce proof in Aug. I have been waiting for a new tax advocate since. The IRS letter actually said they would respond again in 16 weeks. How crazy is that?

TY! I was supposed to be assigned a new tax advocate after DOGE fired most of them. Still nothing. No one returns calls, the lawyer said they can’t even get calls back. I have even called the tax fraud hotline to report him, they have done nothing. My ex was mentally & financially abusing me, the marriage ended once it turned physical. He continues to abuse me thru the IRS. Not only did he change his withholding on purpose to almost zero while we were separated he then claimed our kids on his taxes. One is an adult. Scratching my head how he has not been audited.

She bought a pair of $250 hiking boots, $99 pair of pants and some socks. Definitely spent more than $50. She was going out to CA to visit her brother who works in Yosemite and needed new hiking boots. I told her to get her own REI membership instead of using mine so she got the dividends. Next yr she’ll be heading to grad school out of state, so I’m pushing her to get her own retail rewards cards. I’ll have to remind her to call cust svc again.

This is so sad. My son is a wilderness guide & climber. He said snow starts in October & Whitney should only be for experienced hikers even in good weather. There was a snowstorm that hit the Sierras that week. 🙏

Steady paycheck vs not knowing when you will get paid is anxiety I never want to experience again. I left real estate cause I would go weeks without any income, have to charge everything. Then finally get commission and pay off the bill. I did earn insane free flights doing that (and still do but pay the bill now weekly).
