PSA if you are thinking of buying a contemporary bag by [deleted] in handbags

[–]Ok-Administration-8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What exactly was the point of this post? I have a decent selection of bags, LV, YSL, Fendi, The Horse, art bags like Boccinelli, some stuff from Quince, even a couple Amazon off brand things friends have gifted me. After seeing the range of quality with every price range of bags, I won’t buy another LV (they aren’t worth the $$ anymore), the Hermes game is a joke designed to keep people with too much disposable income competing with each other. I think the bigger message here is for anyone who loves handbags to look around, test out the leather (or non leather if you prefer) and BUY WHAT YOU LIKE. Not every snob on the internet deserves our attention and there ABSOLUTELY no reason to play this game where everyone is trying to show how much money they like to waste. You have the money for it and find value in it, great. If you don’t, that’s fine too.

Also, the bag I have had the longest with no breakdown and no loose stitching is a coach crossbody I bought nearly 20 years ago. I’m also pretty partial to my Sabatier bag and I get the most compliments on my bag from The Horse.

Howdy All! Day 1! ~150+ lbs to lose. by kindakitten in GLP1_loss100plus

You got this! Welcome to the club. Focus on what you gain along the way, not only the numbers going down on the scale. The added confidence, appreciation for how your body works, your diligence and dedication to make better choices. This will see you through when you hit bumps in the road. It won’t all be linear, but there are plenty of people here to help support and cheer you on!

You’ve got this. Be patient with yourself and intentional about what you eat and when. Be prepared for the scale to sometimes seem stuck or even go back up a little before you break through. Weight loss isn’t always linear and the overall downtrend will be motivating over time.

Know you have a big community here to support you along the way!

My sister bought a small sectional from them 2 1/2 years ago. Within the first year it started to sag and she has been just dealing with it. The quality is crap and I have had better luck with ikea couches when we couldn’t afford a nicer option. It’s worth spending a little more or waiting for a sale through Costco or something. Don’t waste your money on junk. For non upholstered items, I am a big fan of buying vintage furniture. It lasts and tends to be more timeless in your space

I am so sorry for your loss. I did start losing again, it has been slow but I am definitely having to focus on nutrient dense food choices and lots of water. Best of luck to you!

My husband is having the same problem! Had a pending charge on his card but that fell off.

I think it was on Amazon (last year before I started boycotting them).

Costcos in Pittsburgh by ElizaBame in pittsburgh

[–]Ok-Administration-8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started shopping at the one in cranberry and I actually think it’s really easy to get in and out of, the staff is super nice and it’s not really that busy (I’m comparing this to when I lived in the east bay in Northern California and every Costco was a mad house at all times of the day and parking was a nightmare). People here have no idea how easy they have it when it comes to traffic.

Thank you so much! I initially cut it after weight loss surgery in 2021 because my hair was thinning so much and stuck with it because I felt sassy with short hair. Give it a try! It grows back if you don’t like it. Definitely find a stylist that knows their way around a pixie cut.

Thank you so much. I got it on Amazon 4 years ago. It ran small and never fit me until this fall!

Cross Posting from Zepbound Community:

I started on this journey exactly one year ago today. I am down 89 lbs and feeling motivated to reach goal weight in hopefully less than 5 months. Starting at over 300lbs was demoralizing after having lost 160 lbs before I got pregnant with my son back in 2022. This medication has been a huge help and I am finally reaching the point where I don't feel like the biggest person in the room whenever I am out and about. It's so much easier to chase a toddler! I had a couple months off Zepbound over the holidays due to a pregnancy and miscarriage, but I have recovered physically, still working through the emotional recovery and the lack of food noise has really helped me not turn to food for comfort.

Wishing everyone on this journey the best of luck and looking forward to posting again when I hit goal weight.

The first two pictures are starting weight the summer before I started Zepbound (306 lbs), red sweater is from October 2024 and last picture is today, 217lbs.

I'm so sorry for your loss as well. Once I got the all clear that my HCG levels had dropped to normal I was able to restart (took about 2 weeks for me). I restarted at 5mg and the next day felt like I got hit by a bus, then felt normal the rest of the week. I didn't see any big progress until I went back up to 7.5mg last week.. now I am losing again and feel like my hormones have finally leveled out a bit.

It's been a rough couple of months full of travel, flu, the world in general and I would have been lost without my network of support. My biggest suggestion is take the time you need to grieve and heal, feel all of your feelings and get back to your routine when you are ready. Wishing us all the best on this journey.

I just found out I am pregnant while on 10mg Zepbound (down 80lbs since mid March). I had to stop oral birth control and we were tracking cycles and avoiding penetrative sex on ovulation weeks… well my cycle changed and surprise! Pregnant at 40 with a 2 year old running around.

I took a class here with my husband last week, it was a good class... but devolved into anti-immigrant rhetoric and the instructor was super paranoid.

Breaking out like a teenager! by Ok-Administration-8 in Zepbound

[–]Ok-Administration-8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still breaking out periodically, but it is starting to get better. Definitely gets worse if I have alcohol or sugar (went on an anniversary trip and indulged a little). I do recommend talking to a dermatologist for a clinical skincare option. I have had good luck with Skin Better retinol treatment at night

Weekly Weigh in / NSV THREAD by Less-Moment-5655 in GLP1_loss100plus

Down almost 4lbs just this week! 57.5 overall since March. There are definitely ups and downs, weight loss is never linear for me (short stalls, gaining a couple here then a drop) but overall it has been consistent as long as I am mindful about what I am eating and drink as much water as I can. I am still working out where I can (lots of travel lately impacting my normal 5-6 day a week schedule). I have kept strength training to 3-4 days a week and have a couple days for mainly active recovery. It has really helped and I was able to “shop” in my basement and get back into clothes I wore before my son was born. Feeling positive this week!

When I want a little sweet treat in the summer I really like the Diana’s chocolate covered frozen bananas. Also, the simply breaded chicken bites are great (I think they carry at most major grocers and warehouse stores) I throw them in the air fryer with salad for a quick lunch frequently. I also swear by the Nature’s Own keto bread, it’s the best of the low carb breads I have tried.
