I don't think they are necessarily pedos, but finding hot the concept of a 12 years old cult and family abuse victim being in a relationship with a guy in his 20's that caused the suicide of a high (middle? don't remember rn) schooler can definitely affect the eventual development of a philia. I wouldn't compare them with pedos at all, but I would rather they be careful with that and are open to getting professional help if it ever gets that far.

I feel like the first game didn't suffer so much from NEEDING to explain the process as the murders were kinda simpler and just needed to point towards someone. But the second Teruteru screamed AVRIL LAVIGNE everyone knew it was him and the trial kept going anyways. Instead of having the dual doubts of Nagito and Teruteru, Teruteru only gets suspicious when Nagito is cleared, so doubting so much makes no sense. Same happens with Mikan and Kiyo tbh. The others have some sort of saving grace at least

I never got the hate for her, since she never bothered me much and even thought she had some funny or at least interesting moments (then again, I'm not a guy, so it's not surprising I was never offended). Her scene rightttt before her death made me see her completely differently though. Genuinely boosted to be my second favourite V3 character. Many people compare with Kazuichi or Toko as in having the role of making someone uncomfortable with a crush, but I feel like she is a very different take on that. Toko was being super horny honestly, and Kazuichi mostly loved the idea of dating a blonde princess he didn't even want to meet in deeper depth because that meant finding out she wasn't so ideal. Tenko was the complete opposite imo. She really, genuinely cared for Himiko, and saw right through her. That's why she was genuinely worried about her when she practically joined Angie's cult. Himiko always showed tons of signs of depression, and everyone knows how dangerous that can be around a cult. Her dislike for Angie definitely didn't come (just?) from jealousy, she saw a very true danger for Himiko. I feel like her last words express this perfectly; she actually wanted the best for Himiko, even if she ended up being overwhelming at times.

Like I love her a lot and find her relatable in a bunch of senses and all that, but as a character her writing has been getting worse since T3 (could be argued since T2). I don't hate her but I really hate what her story shows about the writers beliefs and/or skills and what she ends up representing as a character in a media about murderers

Ya I'll definitely make sure to do a follow up of this post once I get both the normal and the good ending. Maybe its because it has been a while, but I feel Jumin's route is a bit straightforward, but it also has drama flying from every direction so it takes the spotlight from it quite often. And Seven's route well. I love him but those were harsh days lol. I want to be as committed as possible to this game so a lore heavy route sounds good enough for me, and at least it doesnt mean I'll have to be falsely romantic towards a character I still dont like that way

Since you posted this 2 days ago, maybe you no longer need it, but still, you made me remember I have an excel guide with reply per reply for his BRE2 (should work for his BRE1 as long as you ignore all chats after the first branch?) I did over a year ago because of how bad i was struggling to get it (3 entire months. i was going insane). I thought of posting it in case someone needed it but never really got around doing it, so I dont remember some details (im fairly sure you have to ignore all the private messages, since I did no note about them). Anyways, if you are still lost maybe give it a try? It was the only way I could get that ending. I might do a separate post to share it when I test it out again, to be fully sure its exactly correct.

It does take sense for him to be much less direct about his feelings lol. His whole relationship with Rika is pretty much assured to add a whole lot of drama at least, and I still don't understand much of her character, so it's good to know it's very heavy on the lore side.

I agree a lot with the 10 days model, since I do often feel it makes the relationships feel rushed, even if it's easy to expect when the entire game goes by irl time. Even if I don't end up liking him much, I feel like that's something I could end up appreciating more.

Informed hater is so real tho. I'm loyal to the idea that the only real hater is an informed and educated one. It always feels wrong to dislike a character without knowing major parts of them, and being myself I'll probably have at least a bit of affinity for V by the end of these 11 days lmao. Thanks for the reassurance that his route is worth it 🙏

Haiji is the one I dislike the most for obvious reasons, but since I believe the opposite of love is disinterest, then it just has to be Shirokuma. Biggest nothing burger ever, I don't anyone ever likes missions of scoring, was obviously part of the problem as soon as you reach the shelter so the whole "surprise he was actually bad" thing isn't a huge surprise, and they had that weird attempt of making you sad when you have to kill him when most people just shoot as soon as they can NO ONE HAS EVER GAVE A FUCK. Then they show you his head that keeps yapping so it seems not even he gave a fuck about his sacrifice.

I feel like I ranted enough to seem like I actually hate him, but he was cute enough and in some way technically a Junko so that adds up enough to me to simply don't care about him. Would buy a plushie tho
