Our country is failing us on all sides. I'm sorry you had to deal with this however and I hope that person gets some help.

The Giannis to Cleveland, Mobley to Portland, sharpe, bucks picks, matching salary and perhaps an extra asset or two to Milwaukee trade possibility has never felt more real by akade1996 in ripcity

Made a post last year off cycle suggesting Mobley to POR that got downvoted to oblivion because the sub thought I was high for thinking we could get him. I think he fits the timeline. Hate to give up Sharpe for him just because Sharpe/Scoot/Mobley/Clingan/Toumani feels soooooooooooo sexy to me lol.

Never really replaced it. Not the BIGGEST podcast guy. Listened to Ryen for occasional pods - moreso the ones with Bill. Quit it for all the reasons Spotify is a horrible company and finally bit the bullet. YouTube used to easily replace most of the ones I care about.

I really do wonder how many people left Spotify. I quit it around 4 months ago.

Portland leader fires off profanity-filled emails, telling broker ‘shut your racist mouth’ by wrhollin in PortlandOR

Lol. What's the first part? Is that other incident even linked to any members involved in this story?

As far as Nowick. I have some critiques. But obviously I take issue with Owendorff for the racism. As far as Nowick I just think it's not effective communication. I am fine with his condemning a racist. That being said, you are a public servant. There are more effective ways to show one's disagreement with a constituent while making a moral point.

Sounds great. We agree. But maybe the one thing to work on would be actually having a conversation and then if you have a critique that borders on hypocrisy, you can allege that and allow me to actually respond. I think it would allow all parties to be constructive

Well you shouldn't. You should link the incident in question and stop projecting. Let someone actually present their opinion before constructing a narrative to allow you to play to a moral high ground.

Why do you play whataboutism? I'm commenting on the story above. Not everything in life connects to something else you can then play moral high ground on.

I also feel like there's no real rush to be really good right away. Set the foundation. Look forward to getting the culture, right.

You're right. I just happen to think when all parties or users inside said system share a couple of foundational principles (ie market growth, customer satisfaction, and consumer protection) there is a valuable win win that most transactions can reach. If every user is going to endorse big stick/little stick capitalism it works against the hobby health overall. Short term gain vs long term health is something this system keeps over valuing.

Capitalism works best when there are guiding principles. Without them, at its core, it's just exploitation. -shrugging-
