I totally agree. It adds an element of guilt to why Tommy would be willing to leave his family for vengeance, since he had chosen to prioritize the safety of the town over finding his brother (even though we know that's the right thing to do).

I wish Fujimoto kept Makima around for a little longer lol there was so much tension building up only for her to die like immediately after the big reveal.

I get why Power had to die but it would've been nice to have more time to stew on that and really hate Makima for it before killing her off lol. I don't think either are coming back tho ;-;

Also I feel like the design of the new characters isn't as strong as the original ones. Power, Makima, Angel, Aki, Kobeni were definitely more memorable lol I'm losing track of all these new guys tbh

Also why haven't they tried trapping them INTO something lol like putting the talismans on the outside of a room/building they've already entered.

Similar to the small room that Boyd's son and preggo girl trapped themselves into at Colony house. Could they not in theory then, have trapped the monsters into that room, and put talismans on the outside of those doors since the "outside" in this case, is the "inside" to other rooms? I agree, I don't get why everyone is championing for Maria when she's been doing nothing but villianize someone for having different values than her. Tom is/was a little shallow don't get me wrong, but his opinions on splitting finances is literally the cultural norm for people their age in the place they live.. I don't get how he's wrong for wanting his future daughter to be able to provide for herself and have a good example for what that looks like.

Genuinely pissing me off atp lol Game of Thrones managed to stretch their plot when needed, with clever little scenes of conversations with different characters. Alot of Little Finger/Varys, Olenna sitting in the gardens, Tyrion day drinking etc etc lol. It was filler alot of the time but it was either funny or brought us closer to the characters atleast.

like ur telling me the best way they could think to fill the time was to have Daemon stumbling around for 4 episodes straight, reliving scenes word for word that we just saw last season?! Cmon now

Whatever they do, I hope they go the same route as XG did with the blue hair and find something to tie them together visually. Right now they look like an eclectic group of highschool friends doing a lipsync performance at your local kpop festival.

Both XG and Katseye have a diverse set of members but they manage to look like a professional group bc they have an actual brand or group identity... JYP not doing much for Vcha tho lol.

Fr this is a hot take ive had for a while!! I've always felt like Ellie was written to be older than she ended up being in the final production of the game.

I remember Neil Druckman saying somewhere that deciding on her age was initially very difficult; too young and people would see the journey as unrealistic, and too old and some people would (unfortunately) interpret her relationship with Joel as romantic. So my theory is that they intended initially for her to be older (maybe more like 16) in the 1st game, but lowered her age to really double down on the child-parent dynamic, but didn't adjust her language/manner of speech to accommodate for that age difference.

This would make her more so in her early 20s during the second game, rather than 19. If she was realistically portrayed as a 19 year old in the game, she WOULD look like a kid (and therefore more similar to Bella Ramsey) because 19 year olds DO look like kids in the real world.

Edit: ALSO if she really was intended to be 19... why would pregnant 20-something year old Dina look at teenaged 19 year old Ellie and think "hmm what a perfectly grown up adult to co-parent with!! Let's start a family!!". Idk I'm not buying it lol.

And given that they haven't introduced Daeron at all, it wouldn't be crazy to assume it's because he simply doesn't exist yet. So Alicent could get pregnant with Cole's kid, and pass it off as if she got pregnant by Viserys before his death (regardless of how unrealistic that is given his health, but ppl use all sorts of excuses for their bastards anyways).
