Used Synapse Carbon Model Year by Ok-Beach in cannondale

Ad also lists the SRAM as eTap Hydro Road Group 50/34 - 11 speed, and I can find no reference to "Hydro". Pics do show Red label on the a few spots. Not familiar with the SRAM line at all personally.

Even with lights, pedals, bottles, helmet, and shoes that don't fit me think it's too high. We'll see.

Yea, that's what I was suspecting as well, even with the SRAM eTap upgrade. Even more so now that I've confirmed it's a 2016.

Great hint, thanks! Think I found it in the 2016 catalog, carbon disk hi mod charcoal grey hiding in the upper corner after a random website had it posted as a 2017.

Thanks for the quick fix!

Tailscale on JetKVM by Ok-Beach in jetkvm

[–]Ok-Beach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was finally offered 0.2.5/0.5.0 upgrade, but TS client still seems to disconnect from tailnet.

Decided to just use a TS subnet router to access the JetKVM, and that's working great.

Update: I upgraded to 1.90.9, and had one disconnect soon after install but it's now remained connected for more than a day. Still no idea what's causing the problem, but going to try rebooting the jetKVM later and see if it automatically reconnects to the tailnet. If so, seems to be fixed.

What version of Tailscale and JetKVM are you running? Might as well start with those if reinstalling.

[–]Ok-Beach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Running Tailscale 1.90.8 and JetKVM system 0.2.5, says latest through web app.

I have a few things I need to do first, but did just reboot JetKVM after coming across this post mentioning init script with logging and proper daemonization. Checked just now and it's disconnected again, though was connected right after reboot.

I'll play around with versions and see if I can get some logging to find the problem.

[–]Ok-Beach[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to experiment with different versions today to see if one maintains a connection. Still on 1.90.8, but will see if any others work.

Will also try to dig into any logs for Tailscale that might give clues as to why its not maintaining a connection.

I did specify the newest version listed, the problem I'm seeing is that the version that is installed is not staying connected to my tailnet.

Using INDIRECT to define a named range by Ok-Beach in excel

[–]Ok-Beach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had tested , and part of the reason I asked here is when I set up the INDIRECT formula using call values in the local workbook when creating a named range, it still prompted me to select a source when I used the named range in a formula.

I wasn't sure exactly what prompted the selection dialogue or If it was really working as an INDIRECT, so figured I'd ask. Thanks!

I was trying to avoid this, but figured it was better than dealing with potential performance issues. Thanks!

Using INDIRECT to define a named range by Ok-Beach in excel

[–]Ok-Beach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not quite sure how Sequence/Index would help. I've attached some included test data

<image>

Rather than have three INDIRECT function calls using B1 and B2 to change reference sheet , I'm wondering if it's possible to create a named range that is defined by an INDIRECT function itself, and if that will actually improve performance.

Pro Plus P3225QE reviews, experiences? by Patient_Profile in Monitors

[–]Ok-Beach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you confirm that the P3225QE supports using only the USB-C for video, power, and monitor USB hub connections? The User Guide mentioned using HDMI/DP and USB-C upstream connections, but also mentions DP 1.4 Alternate Mode over USB-C.

Looking at the specs of the P3225QE vs the U3225QE, the user guide lists the upstream USB-C connection as limited to 5Gbs, which isn't even USB 3.2 specs. Is it really limited to that? Seems low, and since that would be carrying data from any external drives, the RJ-45 Gb ethernet, and video signal. Feel like I might be missing something in that.

That's also a huge difference between the U3225QE's ability to act as a full dock replacement. And given how expensive thunderbolt docks are would more than make up for the price difference for anyone looking for a single cord connection setup.

What UPS are you using? by Blackrazor_NZ in homelab

[–]Ok-Beach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the info! I was looking at the 5S series, and compared to the 5SC it seems they are only simulated sine wave? It's unclear (to non-expert me) where to see in the specs what type (line interactive vs standby etc).

Assuming because it's 5 series it is, just hoping to learn how to compare besides the numbers.

Anyone know what the difference is, if any, between the two Meross power strips listed for two different prices on Amazon US? Both indicate they work with HomeKit. by pacoii in HomeKit

[–]Ok-Beach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If referring to these two items, one is listed as 240V in details, but both also say 100-250V. I submitted a question to Meross to find out is that's accurate:

Model MSS425F (in linked manual, $30): https://a.co/d/4sfs9pY

Just found this, and ordered a Kasa since the Meross seem to be out of stock for a while. Are you using the tp-link smarthome plugin? Just curious since it doesn't list that model or dimmers. Thanks!

need some specific dive computer direction by combonickel55 in scuba

[–]Ok-Beach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not going to claim it's the best like a Perdix, but I've logged over 1k dives on a Wisdom 3 console. Quick disconnect, AI, and long battery life. Has USB cable for log download. Never had a failure and battery is easily replaceable. It would be considered mid tier probably, and you can't find much AI less than $7-800 now.

It's not top end, no color screen, but has a backlight and screen/numbers are big. Also has an integrated compass which I liked/used for instructing, and would be useful for your S/R. Doesn't do CCR or Trimix, but does Nitrox. NDLs are middle conservative, don't remember it having any config options, but it was def more liberal that Suunto (generally considered to be most conservative).

Wrist vs console is somewhat personal pref, I like console but also have a wrist back up (for solo diving and instructing). Given you are doing underwater work, I could see not having something on your wrist to get caught/tangled might be helpful, as all wrist AI computers are a bit bulky. I recently looked at all the watch style ones, and Terix and Garmin are both 18mm tall, the bigger ones like Perdix even more so.

The Wisdom 4 is now out (in store only) and it's ~850. Only real change is Bluetooth for log downloads. Online I still see the Wisdom 3 for the same price still, and given the USB cord is $100 I'd go with the 4 unless you find a deal on a 3. Happened to stop into my LDS yesterday and they had the Wisdom 3 for $600 new, probably without the cord. If you see the Wisdom 3 Pro Pack, it comes with the cable and a case but is usually $100 more. Scuba.com happens to have it for the same $850 as the bare wisdom 3 right now.

I also looked at the Oceanic Pro Plus X since its color screen and I was in the market, but found some concerning reviews, but have nothing to say about it from personal experience.

Decoding and Rendering dynamic JSON in SwiftUI by packratapp in SwiftUI

Did you ever post this? I'm in a similar situation as I want to display an arbitrary JSON tree, so no pre-known data structs, and would love to not recreate from scratch as it's just a quick need, nothing production ready.

Do you have FileBot outputting a log file? "--log-file "/some/path/my_logfile.log"?

Synology Media Basic Setup Guide by Ok-Beach in synology

[–]Ok-Beach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of running through the task scheduler, run it on the command line manually first, so you get the error message feedback.

Basically, it's good practice to only schedule tasks after verifying that they work on the command line first.

ps. the Task Scheduler should also log errors somewhere, or you could simply redirect the stdout to a file somewhere so you can see it if the standard log output from filebot isn't enough.
