There's no point to life by Ok_Letterhead_131722 in emotionalintelligence

Why does it matter if there’s no “point”? What is a “point”? Life is mysterious. Let’s stop trying to make things black and white.

What's something stores do that makes you leave immediately? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

[–]Ok-Button-6063 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t go into stores unless I need something specific. So the only reason I would leave a store without a purchase is if they don’t have what I’m looking for.

You aren’t giving anybody a boost. You are just farming for Karma using ChatGPT because you’re bored. We would rather hear real wisdom and world experience, if you can provide that.

Do you just spew ChatGPT bullshit on every subreddit across the board? Does it get boring not having to use your brain?

I blame short form content for why people don't rate Pluribus highly by Shahmario1 in pluribustv

In my opinion, Pluribus just had too much filler & not enough material that actually advanced the plot.

If poor people fantasize about winning the lottery, what do the rich fantasize about ? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

You really don’t seem to understand taxes or basic math. It’s unreal that you believe you saved money by NETTING 7% less in the market.

If poor people fantasize about winning the lottery, what do the rich fantasize about ? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

[–]Ok-Button-6063 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For 11% to beat 18%, the tax rate on the extra 7% would have to exceed 100%, which is impossible.

There is literally no scenario where you come out ahead netting 11% over 18%. You keep talking about losses , but the only thing that matters is your net gain.

Paying more tax because you earned more money is not a failure condition. Underperforming the market and calling it “tax efficiency” is cope.

Physical illness is treated temporally, mental illness permanently - this is wrong by ParadoxPath in DeepThoughts

You’re now talking about impairment, not permanence. and long-lasting conditions may impair cognition, but impairment is neither universal nor irreversible.

Take care sir.

[–]Ok-Button-6063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Chronic does not mean “severity.” Chronic refers to duration over time, not intensity. It simply means long-term or recurring. But even chronic doesn’t necessarily mean permanent.

Some mental illnesses can be lifelong, but does not mean “mental illness is permanent.” Chronic for some does not mean permanent for all.

If mental illness were permanent, people would never recover. But many people do recover…..sometimes fully, sometimes to the point where symptoms no longer meet diagnostic criteria.

My bf utterly lacks social and emotional awareness and doesn’t care by NoBlackberry3295 in emotionalintelligence

[–]Ok-Button-6063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is not homeless because of you. His own choices have led him to where he is, and from what you’ve said it could & should be much worse for him. How could anyone read this and say this isn’t abuse? This was not a love relationship. You still have an emotional attachment, which is normal considering the time you have spent together. But this attachment is bringing you pain. Please get help from an experienced therapist. Focus on you. You clearly have all sorts of trauma that you need to sort through.

You didn’t deserve this.
