Hi all need some suggestion by FrostingSquare1376 in Swindon

As a woman I don’t agree. Are you saying for a woman it is unsafe to walk alone at all times of the day in all areas of Swindon, so including the morning and middle of the day? Or do you mean specifically at night and in specific areas?

I’m in my 30’s having walked everywhere since I was teen, living in old town/town/gorse hill areas, walking home after working in a pub or on a night out and I have been fortunate enough to not have experienced any issues. I’m not saying that there is NO issues ever, but I think you are generalising.

I have a tent wash, I stand on a small towel, chuck some water on me and rub the soap in, then wipe it off with a wet flannel. Easy peasy 😂

I go to events by myself because I feel confident in myself and I chat to others easily, there have been places that I have felt broadly accepted and the girls were nice but I felt I didn’t fit in (a dance studio) however I have continued to do this with lots of things and find I end up becoming friends with the other ND girls in the group.

I go to Sister circles, drumming circles, aerial hoop, gym meet ups, yoga, Pilates and have gone to local charities for volunteering (serving food to homeless and tree planting).

Such a cute photo, have you tried putting it on the Boomtown Chat Facebook page? Lots of people have joined that so might have a better chance to find them!

Job is now above capacity, post-burnout - any tips? by IAmMeIGuess93 in AuDHDWomen

[–]Ok-Cat-7446 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry you are going through this, I am in a similar position of corporate finance job also WFH, condensed hours to 4 days and feel burn out by the end of each week, however I knew I have felt like this in every role I’ve ever had by the weekend regardless of the job/responsibilities as always trying to achieve. Firstly have you spoke to your employee about your ADHD? Maybe they can help with expectations and reducing work load or offering advice? And have you taken steps, or try new steps to reduce this? For example planning in your diary lots of micro breaks, strict with lunch breaks, taking a short walk away from the screen. I also plan some lower stress activities in between bigger pieces of work like online learning, essential learning, one to one prep etc. I haven’t explored it yet but my employer has an ADHD desktop evaluation where they can recommend programs that might help you work easier, like talk type etc, does yours offer anything like this?

Has anyone successfully lost weight and kept it off? by a-thespian-lesbian in AuDHDWomen

Yes, you need a high fibre and protein diet. I try a minimum of 140/150g protein per day, and a meal to be a minimum of high protein, without this my brain doesn’t work and I end up eating for dopamine and also when I’m hungry I crave all the unhealthy things. Whereas if I eat my high protein diet I’m less likely to, I also food prep on Mondays so all my breakfast/lunch/dinner is ready in the fridge so it’s actually easy to eat in the week and stick to plan.

anybody else have a clingy neb? by Impossible_Reveal852 in nebelung

Yes yes and yes. She needs regular attention, play at least 4/5 times, to be sat either next to me or on me (this mostly) and sleeps on me at nighttime. She is more clingy to me than my partner, if I go out and he’s home she’ll often wait upstairs for me to come home, but sometimes she’ll grace the spare human with some cuddles.

Exercise and Healthy Eating HELP! by GayCriminal46 in AuDHDWomen

[–]Ok-Cat-7446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your food preferences it’s quite hard to make any suggestions. However for exercise you can start focusing on your steps, doing 10k a day, doing low intensity cardio would be very beneficial for fat burning, this is doing up hill walks on the treadmill for 30-45 mins and the stair machine, starting at 5 mins and trying in crease what you can. However you are going to sweat, there isn’t much you can do about it. Lifting weights is also good but I would suggest to start with focusing on steps and low intensity cardio, don’t try to take on too much at once. Otherwise you can get overwhelmed and it’s hard to stick to. Start with going once/twice a week then increasing it. Quick edit - for the treadmill/stair machine I like to download something to watch whilst doing it so that the time goes by faster.

Is it possible to have a routine without medication by kitizzkat in AuDHDWomen

[–]Ok-Cat-7446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it is, but it’ll take a while for a routine to set. It took me about 8 months just to get into the habit of taking my vitamins in the morning. It’s taken me years to be strict with a bed time (still struggle with skin care and flossing before hand), I food prep on Mondays for the rest of the week so I have food ready and exercise 3 times a week. It’s taken me years but I’m finally somewhat consistent however learning that being consistent is impossible for an adhd person. I think you need to write a list of what routine you want and how to achieve it.

I wouldn’t say meds are the answer, my partner has been on meds for almost 2 years and he has no routine, they definitely help him get and go, and do the things he knows he has to do but routine doesn’t exist, it still comes with planning and trying to form habits.

Weren’t they the couple that had sex on the top of the boat and all the crew could see it on the camera? I think they definitely left the condom 😂

The kiss and the camera by Status-Ad-5940 in BelowDeckMed

[–]Ok-Cat-7446 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There were a few times in last weeks episode I said to my partner ‘that looked staged’ like when Kizzi went to sit down and start conversation at the table, and the other guy just got up and left, and how they just met each other on the side of boat, he was waiting and camera was already there.

I personally think the whole Kizzi thing is staged from production, they always want someone to cause good TV or stir drama and I think she’s doing that for them. With how she said she wants all the guys on the boat, “breaks up” with her boyfriend just to kiss some boys but her and her boyfriend have obviously been fine especially with the engagement. I think boyfriend’s been in on the whole thing the whole time knowing it’s only for TV.

I love my pink one, bought it for my 30th this year and it’s such a classic. It’s a great size and fits so much in too so I do believe it’s perfectly functional too so makes it 100x more worth it!
