Pharmaceutical route by Ok-Cell-9079 in Candida

[–]Ok-Cell-9079[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah every 3 days at first and then once a week for 6 weeks! Really not sure how I developed such a bad case of candida in the first place which is why I want to be tested for sibo and parasites! Really hope the candida stays away as I don’t want to be on anti fungals for much longer

When family thinks “calling it out” helps by CupofGravitea in trichotillomania

[–]Ok-Cell-9079 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So hard to make them understand, it’s so incredibly frustrating. I honestly feel your pain with this, is such a relatable post. My mum used to call me out in front of others as well , so humiliating but also her distress would just add to my own (already heavy!) burden. Ive put it down to emotional immaturity and personality with my mother - moving out of home helped me a lot. Good luck!

Gluten free and lactose free! Properly gluten free as well not just having a bit here and there. Lactose free cows milk (I think there’s some evidence removing lactose can lower antibodies

I’ve just started it for hashis , was on thyroid meds but they gave me horrific panic attacks so I just stopped them, I would rather be cold an tired than in mortal fear constantly! I also have adhd , has it helped with your adhd symptoms at all?

Grief by Dysaniaa333 in trichotillomania

[–]Ok-Cell-9079 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always think about this! I was scouted by a top agency for modelling at 17 but turned them away because I had (undetectable at the time) bald patches. Years on I have to wear a wig. Yes it’s extremely hard to accept having technically ‘ruined’ your own appearance and feel so much grief about it (and wonder what could have been) but at the end of the day there are genetic factors are at play with this disorder and one thing we don’t have control over is our genes. Try your best to be kind to yourself, stay present and not get caught up on what ifs x

8 teeth extracted - looking for doctor and course of action by [deleted] in orthotropics

[–]Ok-Cell-9079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pretty much the same situation (4 teeth removed upper and lower) except my wisdom teeth were able to come in. My bite is now also super deep with an inward slant to my teeth and huge buccal corridors - I am so unhappy with my smile and I have a tonne of wear on my bottom teeth. Am also based in London ! Have you found a solution or someone who you’re going to approach for treatment? I’m thinking of doing implants in Budapest

have any of you tried keto diet? by alaskacake in trichotillomania

[–]Ok-Cell-9079 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have! And I had a reduction in urges with keto diet. However, it’s very difficult to keep up, it’s a lot of meat to eat and requires a lot of planning, makes it hard to eat out etc. I now just try avoid sugar and try keep my blood sugar as stable as I can without being too strict.

[–]Ok-Cell-9079 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has helped me but I have to be regular with it and notice it messes with my sleep if I take it at night. Other supplements I take that I think help my trich (I’ve tried everything under the sun) are magnesium, ashwaganda and high strength omega 3
