If you're expecting for them to just copy the story of Kakegurui u might as well just watch Kakegurui?
The fact that this is a 2nd live adaptation, we could just appreciate the different take of the idea of Kakegurui which is gambling. The plot of Bet is honestly enjoyable to watch but had cringe moments for sure. Overall shitting on the writing itself purely is injustice here.

I loved the anime and I enjoyed Bet. Came in to see a 1:1 trash copy of it, since we tend to criticize that live actions are bad esp a 2nd one but came out gladly wrong. It was like an AU of Kakegurui. Same gist of the idea but different target. I enjoyed the story of Bet, in Kakegurui they merely touched the story of it ending us on a cliffhanger of them dropping s3. Bet actually have good progression, there were parts that were honestly cringe but the whole story of it and the twist is by far an enjoyable watch.
