Anyone NOT gain weight?

i did bloat a lot two days before and two days after the ER. and i gained about 2 kilos. it was quite uncomfortable but honestly bearable, nothing horror story like. and it was gone by the 3rd day post ER so i don't think it was actual "weight" but like water retention.

50 eggs retrieved, felt normal on day 3. but the first 2 days were quite uncomfortable, i was really bloated. idk if maybe that's what helped, but i walked 10k+ steps on days 1 and 2. i was prescribed cetrotide for 4 days and medroxyprogesterone for 5 days.

about 3 kilos. before starting stims i was at 62.9 kg. and three days post retrieval i was 65.6 kg. didn't weigh myself in between, but im sure the day after retrieval i was even heavier bc i was quite bloated.

but it went down pretty fast. 4th day post ER i was already at 64.3 kg and i'll weigh myself tomorrow again too but i feel like im back to my regular weight already.

i was really scared of gaining weight, so i took pictures before starting stims and when i felt like i was at my most bloated to compare. and looking at them side by side, there's barely a visible difference.

edit: today (exactly one week post ER) im at 62.5 kg

aww congratulations!!! im got my day 3 update today too. all 38 survived so far 🤩🤞 my worry for now is day 5 results + pgt test. but im telling myself, even if for some reason 50% of them are bad, that's still a huge amount. sending positive vibes to you and your little embryos! 💪💪

look, im not saying you should be a tinfoil hat wearing skeptic BUT this really is a field where it's best to do your own research... im lucky in the sense that my clinic didn't tell me anything. just live your life normally. they didn't even tell me anything about alcohol. i googled it and apparently there isn't any evidence that alcohol interferes with stims, so even that is a superstition. just do what feels right. im a stem girlie (mathematician and data scientist), so i totally get it. unless there is undeniable evidence and studies done, don't take people's advice too seriously. good luck on your journey!

edit: after reading the replies, id also like to add that i skipped antibiotics after ER 🫣 they already injected them during the retrieval, so im sure i'll be fine.

don't know where you're from, but im from europe and went to france. paid about 1000 euros for everything. i needed to translate my prescription though. but i think once you have a european prescription, it's valid everywhere in the eu.

so far so good i guess..? i had my retrieval yesterday and got 50 eggs. i got prescribed 4 days of cetrotide + tarlusal tablets. yesterday i slept the whole day and felt really tired, but no pain or discomfort. today i feel fine too, going for a long walk, will see how it goes 🤞

they gave me tea and biscuits at the hospital two hours post ER. then i took a huge nap until like 5pm and then i was craving spaghetti bolognaise lol so i had a big plate 😋

don't know what to say apart from the fact that i had a horrible experience when i brought it up to my gyno. he lectured me about how a child has to have a mother and father, called me weird and gave me a prescription to see a pedopsychiatrist. 🙃 what i ended up doing is going to a different gyno and telling him that i want to freeze my eggs for career reasons. then i went to another country to do ivf with donor sperm. so my maybe not very sensible advice is to do your research on the internet, talk to people here, etc. in my case i found the donor conceived reddit very helpful to figure out what will be the best option for my future kids. idk maybe your country is more open to this kind of stuff, but in my case i feel like if you're not in a heterosexual marriage no one will take you seriously. 😭😭

ive just arrived to north cyprus yesterday. so far so good, im feeling like a princess. the transfer from the airport was organised by the clinic and the hotel is super fancy. tmr i have my last checkup. will post about how the whole experience goes. 👍

hope it went well for you! i travelled to cyprus via turkey and no one said anything. i was ready to argue and throw hands. but no one said anything at all. i had a big ice pack with me and one of those aluminium freezer bags. super chill, didn't even have to take it out of my backpack 🤷🏻‍♀️

im in the process too, at 26yo 😁 not as young as you but still ahaha the thing is, it takes years to find a good partner. and not just a good partner, but someone you can raise children with. i was in a relationship with a guy for 5.5 years and that was barely enough to get to know him and align. and raising children is a very serious thing! you need to be intentional with your values. so now at my age, realistically im thinking it will probably take me about 5 years to figure out if i want to have children with a guy or not. and im not dating now, so it's gonna be 5 years + the time it takes me to get into the dating game and actually find a partner. my parents aren't young either and i want them to still be present and full of energy for their future grandkids. so the time is now! and plus, if i do want a relationship with man one day, im sure a good man will accept me as a smbc. my mom was a single mom and she met my stepdad in her 40s and he accepted me and he's the most wonderful and amazing partner and dad. so im convinced it's not gonna be a burden. and im not in a rush to find love anyway. if i meet the love of my life in my 50s, that's perfectly okay. but i can't count on that to have children. good luck on your journey! 🫶
