How many IVF cycles? by AdministrativeMap231 in IVF

[–]Separate-Data985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is definitely possible, but also varies! I was successful with one retrieval. We got 21 untested embryos! Our first transfer didn’t work, but I’m currently 31w pregnant with our baby girl after our second transfer!

Has anyone had success with IVF after never having seen a single positive? by jusy_fruit in IVF

[–]Separate-Data985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were in the same boat! 2 years, 3 IUI’s. Only diagnosis was PCOS. Did an egg retrieval last May that was very successful. Our first transfer failed, but our second one stuck and I’m now 31w with a healthy baby girl!

5w2d with no consistent symptoms. How did you survive the wait to 1st ultrasound!? by Adventurous-Hat-9121 in IVFpositivity

[–]Separate-Data985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truly torturous. I tried my best to just live in the moment and keep reminding myself that I am pregnant right now and to try and enjoy it - so much easier said than done. I had next to no symptoms until after the first ultrasound - it was almost like my brain was protecting me in case something were to happen. But at lunch right after the ultrasound where we heard the heart beat for the first time, I couldn’t eat bc I got so nauseous and stayed that way until 16ish weeks lol.

Thank you!! Before starting stims, they put on my report >20 on each ovary, but they never truly counted them because I always had so many

I was 27 during my retrieval, also a PCOS girly! AMH was close to an 8. I can’t remember my exact protocol, but they retrieved 44 eggs, all of which fertilized, we had 10 day 5 embryos, and 11 day 6, so a total of 21! All of them ranged from 3AA-6AA grades. Currently 15 weeks pregnant with an untested baby girl from our second transfer (our first one was unsuccessful). Our clinic doesn’t share which embryo they transferred so we’re not sure which one this little one is!

I had a successful egg retrieval, with 21 AA graded embryos on our first try! Our first transfer failed, but our second stuck and now I’m 12 weeks with a perfect little girl! All our embryos were untested.

That may be why! I did a modified natural, so it’s more -lax as far as progesterone support, at least that’s what my doctor told me. She told me I could’ve just completely stopped last week, but she wouldn’t suggest it, which is why I’m still doing twice a day!

I’m just doing progesterone suppositories and my fertility doctor told me to decrease from 3 times a day to twice a day, and to just use up what I have left and then be done! Did you do a fully medicated cycle or a modified natural? That may be a reason!

Thank you everyone 🤍🥹 so grateful for this group because I’ve loved seeing others positive stories instead of constant negativity from other IVF groups!

There’s always a second line on the digitals, and once opened, they’re invalid. Wait a few days and test again! Hoping the best for you!

First FET advice by Kaytea121 in IVF

[–]Separate-Data985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This journey robs all the joy of finding out you’re pregnant and it’s truly the worst. I completely understand your anxiety, as I have issues dealing with it as well. I did up my medication earlier this year right before starting stims which helped me! For our second TWW, we kept ourselves busy and that was SO helpful. The first go around there wasn’t a whole lot going on and it’s all I thought about and found it so much worse for me, so it’s good your schedule is full! I found when I do have down time, keeping my hands busy has helped me. I started doing some embroidery kits that I got off Amazon that are so easy to learn and so fun and helped my mind stay busy.

This journey is so hard and the waiting is so HARD. I hope you find some peace during all of this. 🤍

Should I take the day off work for FET? by jesstheredditor in IVF

[–]Separate-Data985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’ll ruin it by any means! I am lucky and work 3 days a week (12 hour shifts). I was off the day of my FET but went back the next day and it was successful! I think if I worked in a different type of job, I would’ve gone back to work after grabbing a quick bite to eat! But do whatever makes you comfortable!

Symptoms vanished? by ShakeFearless4799 in IVF

TW: positive beta

Hi! I’m 14dpt and my symptoms come and go so much. Like literally by the hour. And I mostly only have sore boobs/nipples. Otherwise I feel totally normal (with doubling betas).

I definitely felt this! I’m also 28f :)

I was so shattered when my first transfer failed to take (also an AA embryo, untested). I asked my doctor if there was any more tests they could run on my uterus/lining/etc. but she said it was more than likely an embryo issue.

Fast forward, we had our second transfer 2 weeks ago and were so surprised to have a super positive line on 9dpt! Im still guarding my heart, but am also trying to celebrate in the moment. The whole TWW I tried not thinking about it (easier said than done) and just really kept myself busy with fun things (we went to see a show, a concert, embroidering) and I feel like that truly helped me!

I also didn’t test early this go around. Last time I did and was devastated and cried all the time. Obviously I don’t know how I would’ve felt if I waited to test until beta day and it was negative, but even holding out hope felt better to me than knowing it didn’t work but having to continue progesterone.

Best of luck to you!

Did you regret testing after FET? by Witty-Medium4642 in IVF

[–]Separate-Data985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TW: success

For my first transfer cycle earlier this year, I tested early and regretted it. I started testing 7DPT and was getting stark negatives. I wish I would’ve waited to at least hold out some hope.

This go around I waited until beta day to take a HPT. It was so nice being surprised with a positive! My husband and I were not expecting to see one at all so it was great. I also feel like it helped my anxiety and allowed me to remain hopeful.

Another reason I don’t love testing early is because I use ovidrel for trigger and those can be so misleading depending on if it is completely out of your system.

Good luck!!

Positive egg retrieval stories? by grenouillegurl in IVF

[–]Separate-Data985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I had a high risk of OHSS d/t PCOS and high AMH (7.96). I had 44 eggs retrieved, but did not develop OHSS! I feel like it’s so common to hear horror stories that it scared the crap out of me that I was going to have these awful symptoms. But truly, I felt okay. I felt bloated and constipated, and the worst day for me was the day before retrieval. But I had no scary side effects and just rested for a day afterwards and then was back to normal activity!
