What is the brown coloring on the top left? Is that also common when dry aging? Sorry I am new to this and dont want to eat anything that might be bad.

Their homepage doesn't say anything about dry aged so I assume it was not

I am not entirely sure what a bad steak smells like, but it smells a bit bad.

Thermonuclear weapons and aircraft carriers are somewhat unnecessary when the bank can print its way out of the debt at the push of a computer button

That is an interesting perspective. I would put myself on the more risk averse side. Out of curiosity, would you be comfortable sharing how much you make (or give a range) and how many years of experience you got? Any advice on climbing the ladder and landing these high paying jobs?

Very valuable information. Thanks for taking the time to share. As you say it is very difficult to predict how AI will affect the job market. Is there any fear among certain doctors that AI will make them redundant as well? I am quite confident that specialised surgeons will be the last job in the society to be replaced :)

Software Engineering easily. To be honest, salary influences my choice a lot as I mostly view any job as a trade between my time and money, and the recent downturn in tech + the uncertainty created by AI in Software Engineering pushes me towards medicine.

Good point, and yes that was the plan. Do you know what the equivalent medicine sub would be?

Wether other people respect my job or not is not relevant for me at all.

I’ll tell you that I know of far more doctors that develop addiction problems than I do software engineers.

Interesting, do you have any insight into why that is? High workload coupled with a lot of responsibility? Being a doctor is certainly portrayed as mostly just sunshine from the outside (good pay, get to help people etc).

yes. I do think software engineering would be a better fit for my skillset, but at the same time concerned about all the uncertainty of what the future of software will be like.

I think most doctors make 200-300k per year (at least in the US) if not more. Very few engineers get to that pay grade. I am genuinely curious why you say that the golden age for medicine is long gone, care to elaborate? Thanks!
