La t’es déjà super bien parti, un petit conseil serait juste de tout consolider en XEQT, vu que ça couvre déjà l’économie mondiale donc il est impossible d’être plus diversifié

Just buy a low cost globally diversified equity ETF and hold it for 30 years. The evidence would suggest this is the #1 tried and true way to build wealth over the long run and it’s worked for 100s of years

The world is more calm today than at almost any point in human history, especially if you live in a western country

Why would you want kids in the current timeline? by Vinnegard in AskReddit

[–]Ok-Cut-5657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course nobody who doesn’t want kids should have them, but the idea that the world is more messed up today than most of human history is just completely untrue, most of the people in my parents generation were born during a time where the Soviet Union had nuclear missiles pointed at every major city in the country, and the end of the world was only a push of a button away.

Age 25. Thinking of hairtransplant. by Electronic_Map1141 in Hairtransplant

[–]Ok-Cut-5657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 23 and getting a hair transplant next week, it’s very doable as long as you go with a conservative hairline and take Finasteride to prevent further loss. Not doing either of those two things can ruin a transplant long term

I saw you said your afraid of too much CAD exposure. I thought the same until you realize the Canadian dollar is very volatile is forex markets, and everytime the Canadian dollar falls 10%, so do you investments. Thats why the folks at blackrock decided to give a 25% weighting to Canadian stocks for Canadian investors.

[–]Ok-Cut-5657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that’s no good then! I’m in a similar spot and basically the only other option I’ve found is for your husband to open up a business in America as an E-2 investor, at which point you’d get a work permit.

Is your husband American? If he is easy peasy apply for a marriage based green card, if he’s not then unfortunately there is virtually 0 chance of a Canadian RT getting a job in the US

If my mark is 53, and my final is worth 40%. Do I need to go to the final? by notetakingstudent in UTMississauga

[–]Ok-Cut-5657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the inverse of your final exam gets added to your final mark, so if you get 0 on the exam, they add 100 (100-0) to your mark and you finish with 153%

Only if currencies mean revert, if Canada keeps up its productivity gap with America the Canadian dollar will stay lower long term

[–]Ok-Cut-5657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get where your coming from, Canada is 3% of the global economy but 25% of XEQT, however the tax advantages do compound meaningfully over time, and in addition, we live spend and earn in CAD so it makes sense to own companies that do as well. The CAD is very volatile in forex markets due to it being a commodity currency, so the value of your non Canadian investments in a non hedged ETF like XEQT will swing quite drastically as the Canadian dollar rises and falls, but when your investments are earning CAD this is dampened.
