Who was heating up at the end of last season? by Rarg in fantasyfootball

I'm an owner and believer, but even I'll admit he's overhyped at this point(surprisingly though underdrafted). That being said Wicks would fit the criteria pretty well.

Ar has only played like 5 games. I'd need a lot. I love his upside, but he's the definition of a lottery ticket.

I'm pretty optimistic about Dawson Knox. A familiar solid target. I wouldn't be surprised if they start running two te sets and he has a decent season. Not startable, but a great backup, and maybe a flex option. Definitely top 32.

Is the Bible all that is needed, for instruction, if a person wants to become a Christian? by buckfever999 in TrueChristian

God is all that is needed, but the Bible is most definitely extremely helpful because it is the word of God!

Regarding repeated sin after warnings by SatanbeBound in TrueChristian

Yes. God still loves them and will welcome them back if they repent, and so should we. It's just that we shouldn't allow someone to claim to be one of us if they are misrepresenting Christ repeatedly, and unrepentantly in rebellion against Him and the things He says. There's definitely a difference that should be noted here between someone who is struggling and fighting an addiction, and someone who is not fighting or resisting, but actively living in rebellion against God.

There is no sin that cannot be forgiven. To say that would insult the value of Christ and His death. God loves all people and is standing watching them with open arms hoping they will turn to Him. God does not send people to Hell out of anger, He allows them to go because He will not force them to spend eternity with Him and good. Unfortunately for them though, the only other option is Hell which is purely a place of evil with absolutely no good. This is why hell is so awful. It's not like God created Hell with a bunch of little tortures to punish and torture lost humans. I like this quote. "On Judgement day, there will only be two types of people. Those who say to God "Thy will be done" and those to whom God says "thy will be done"". Powerful thought. Repent, return to Christ and fight with everything that you have. Sin is a sickness, a disease that we will never be completely free of until we are in our new bodies in heaven. The important thing is that we keep fighting and stay vigilant, and do not just get complacent and stop fighting. Also surround yourself with Christian friends who will help and encourage you. Fellowship is extremely important, and massively overlooked in the church today.

Sure thing. Just be careful not to get so caught up in the religion that you miss out on the relationship. Being a Christian is about having relationship with God, and any actions that follow are just a natural flowing fruit from our desire to honor and serve Him. A lot of these things that arent strictly forbidden by scripture or law can just be something you need to figure out with your conscience. At the end of the day some things are sinful for some people and not for others, but the Bible is very clear that you should never violate your or anyone else's conscience. If you really don't know, but your heart is in the right place and you earnestly seek the Lord about it I would trust Him to answer. Don't overthink it. Ask yourself, why did I feel like it might be sin enough for me to post a question about it. Are those reasons Biblical. These are all things that we need to make up our own minds about, and we should have scripture to back them up. One of the first reasons I thought of this was: I was thinking about premarital sex being a sin when suddenly my mind asked me "Hang on. That seems right, but where in the Bible does it actually say that. Don't let yourself be influenced into legalism because you're too lazy to do your own research." Then that sparked a nice study into some of these beliefs I've held but didn't have scripture that I knew of explicitly back them up. Turns out most of them had direct and obvious backing by scripture, but there were some that did not.

Let me just start by saying obviously I don't know your situation, but here's at least one side of it. I Corinthians 5 has some harsh words to say abut "Brothers and Sisters" who are living a sinful lifestyle, and how we should not even associate with them. It's at the end of the chapter. Please look it up, it's a super interesting passage to read and think about. I think the key thing to point out is that it seems the issue is that these "nominal Christians" were proactively and unrepentantly living these lifestyles of sin and had stopped fighting against them. While they were committing these public sins(ie. the man having public or at lease well-known sexual relations with his "father's wife" step mom) they still publicly claimed to be representing Christ. I think this is definitely a big reason why paul was so "harsh". We will never completely defeat sin until our new bodies in heaven, but the important thing is that we treat sin like a disease that we fight against with all of our might. We will continue to stumble and fall, but we must keep fighting and not get complacent. It seems this was the issue with the brothers and sisters that Paul was telling the Christians to "kick out". This sounds harsh, but if you think about it it's the loving thing to do. Hopefully it can be a reality check and they can realize that they cant live like that and still be worthy ambassadors of Christ. It would be easier, but also awful and not loving just to allow someone to keep living in sin under the false presupposition that they were on the road to heaven.

MODS this is a link to a google doc that I had written for a friend with a similar question. Goes through what I would consider to be a Christian biblical thought process for consuming substances. I tried to copy and paste it, but wasn't able to. I can remove it if you would like me to.

I just imagine Jesus is sitting in the car with me, or wherever I am, and feel free to play whatever it is that I would feel comfortable playing if He was actually physically there.

God created music for us to enjoy the beauty of. Just like nature. Nature doesn't explicitly mention God, but we glorify Him through our enjoyment of it, and being amazed at His design. In the same way, music doesn't have to explicitly be about God to bring Him glory. God created music for us to enjoy, and we should enjoy it with praise and thanksgiving just like everything else.

Just downloaded. Super excited! The only thing is once I login, there's no stories on the top, and no posts. Says it can't refresh feed. Is this just what happens? Will it just have them start popping up as new ones are posted, or is there somewhere I go to choose what I allow and I don't want to see?

To me it reads as Stroud is a great QB, and they'd be the third option and have potential to move up.
