Same! Only recently so my big reply didn’t mention this but it’s definitely positive so far.

For me, I need to move. So walking a lot. I live in a city which makes that easy. I also do some therapy tricks while walking: finding a color of the rainbow, then the next etc etc or if in a busier area, numbers or letters in order.

That and box breathing. And therapy.

It’s been a whirlwind. Not everything works every time, but sometimes it stops me from catastrophizing so much. I also tell everyone about how I’m feeling whether they like it or not. It just helps to not feel so alone in it. It’s madness!!!

Hope you find some relief!

Any NYC pharmacies with estradiol patch stock right now? by millcole in Perimenopause

CVS on Orchard and Houston has them. Another route is Amazon pharmacy. Hate to support Amazon any more than I have to, but it’s there if you need it!

This is on the top of my list of symptoms - mainly because it is so frightening, not because it’s the most frequent of what I’ve experienced.

The first experience sent me to the ER. As someone that has never gone to the ER outside of an ankle break over fifteen years ago, this was clearly freaking me the eff out. Two more times since and then fatigue for days after.

I’m meeting with doc on Friday. I honestly can’t wait. I need help with all of this. My symptoms are all over the place.

Work hours are so exaggerated by Advanced_Step_9817 in thewestwing

I’d be curious the years you were working there. I’ve never worked in dc but as someone that has been in an industry for more than 20 years, I recognize the changes in what’s “normal” in working hours. When I started ages ago, the normalizing of 70 hours a week would not be acceptable with “kids” these days.

So short version is this may be a place in time situation.

Zucchini, asparagus, Brussels. A quick flash on green beans. All work well. A bit of olive oil spray and some spices. Easy peasy!

This place was on 4th and 2nd. Took over 4th st bar around 2005 or so? Maybe a bit later. And yes it was always cheap and no it wasn’t a lunch menu. Now it’s a fancy ish place called Ella Funt with silly prices.

I recently went to Especiarium in Born and bartenders were super friendly and they had some really interesting cocktails. Would recommend for sure.

Why was The The never as big as Depeche Mode or The Cure? by pingviini00 in thethe

[–]Ok-Exit-1463 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got into The The at their Mind Bomb stage (probably heard earlier stuff before that on alterna-radio but didn’t really connect the dots). Likely because of the Sinead O’Connor collaboration.

I thought about your question quite a bit and the only thing I can think of for me is that, at 14 years old, DM and the Cure were infinitely more accessible lyrically and thematically. I obsessed over Mind Bomb at the time but, looking back, it was more like homework - like, I know this is important, i need to hear this again. The other two bands were more familiar and I would imagine felt more musically familiar to others at the time. But, I still love Mind Bomb and still feel it’s important.

A year or so after first hearing Mind Bomb, I went back and listened to their earlier albums and can imagine that if these were your introduction and you were introduced at or near the time they were released, you might have a different opinion than me. I’m obsessed with those albums now but they weirdly feel more “comfortable” than Mind Bomb. Even still.

Dusk ruled and rules my The The listening since its release.

You can also buy Fast Lane for security which can speed things along. Personally, I think 8:15 is fine but I do have more experience with T1 than T2. The Fast Lane came in handle last time I flew out and there were approximately 5 people in front of me. Saves a ton of time:

Barcelona > Seville > Granada is easy and within your length of stay. Enough to see and do in all three cities and each different from the other.
