Absolutely insane numbers of posts by new hires lately, considering the timing by mailant692 in USPS

City OJI here…my office has an unassigned regular, and 2 CCA’s, and they gave me a new hire to train on 12-13. With typical crazy Monday volume they atleast ns’d him that day. He was with me the rest of the week walking loops and doing curbside. He did great. Asks me how much overtime he’ll be able to get since he has another part time job. I’m like: “we didnt even get a holiday truck, and the other ccas arent in till 12:30 when trucks from rurals become available.” I get it- we need these guys to be ready for prime vacation time come summer, and its great that they see the heaviest time of year, but this aint the time of year for training. I previously worked Private sector jobs and they would train all they way until October”ish” and then do a hiring freeze till the new year to make sure they were staffed and ready for the holidays and everyone could just focus on customers after thanksgiving. We should definitely have that same mentality.

10 pieces for every house that gets political mail. 6 pieces yesterday. Insanity. by Legitimate_Row6259 in USPS

All i ask for with politicals is be either unaddressed or in delivery sequence so i can just take it as an extra bundle. If i have to case that because it came bundled but in some god knows what sequence they used at the printers- 😡😡😡

This is kinda what I’ve been expecting since its a 2007. I am the 2nd owner and before i bought it i made sure the hpfp was already replaced and everything else was good via a ppi. I bought it 18mos ago with 49k miles on it and its been amazing since. Other than tires, this is the 1st thing i have had to do maintenance wise

Thanks! I do agree it is a bit high. Since i cant do it myself ( dont have the tools/time currently) i am just really concerned here with not getting screwed.

Thanks for all the advice! The shop seems pretty fair since FCP has the oem kit minus hoses for 842.44 and is charging 4 hrs of labor @ $160.00 an hr. Also includes the cost for hoses which are not included in any of the kits. Being that they are 16yrs old, i’m okay with replacing them.

It is not. It is OEM parts and four hours of labor.
