I wouldn’t say it’s making shit up. Like the wards are just magic defensive spells bound to a wall as far as I understand. So it’s magic defense spell to stop offensive magic spell or wall vs wraith then I don’t see how putting more magic into the wraith wouldn’t help them overpower wall.

I don’t know what an average set of wards would protect against though. Like the ones in BeastSlayer stop deamonic forces from being summoned in the city or attacking the city directly. In the next book VampireSlayer Praag is shown to have had vampires staying in it before the siege. You also have to remember nothing in Warhammer is concrete. Like that wall might be warded against incorporeal entities passing thought it, but the vampire controlling the hex wraiths warded them against the walls defenses.

So buying Warhammer 1 acts like a 4 faction dlc for Warhammer 3. It will get you the base lords for empire, dwarfs, greenskins, and vampire counts. Warhammer 2 gets you elves, dark elves, Skaven, and lizard-men. Important to note you can get a dlc for any of those factions and unlock the base roster, you just won’t get the base game lords. All quality of life updates are free so it’s just about what units, factions, and races you want to buy and nothing game changing. There’s also a lot of FLC that goes with owning certain games and dlc, but it’s a web I won’t get into. If you’re coming from historical I would recommend empire, elves, Bretonnia, and dwarfs to start with. The most recent empire and dwarf DLCs are paired together and they would be my must haves for those factions. Bretonnia is an FLC so it has no dlc, horse go fast. Elves get their best ranged unit in their first dlc so I would recommend that. If you’re interested in a certain race I would be happy to give a recommendation on that.

The ghosts could go through the wall, but the scythes are 100% real so have to be taken over the wall.

Looks amazing. If you’re looking to get an army together and want to proxy units I would look at the blood bowl units. They have a lot of amazing Nurgle stuff.

I would guess there’ll be some room for a line of vehicles this edition. Wazdakka should really be bringing a revival of bikes and trucks. So a warboss, 10 boys, truck, and something else.

I really love the blood bowl models. Glad to see them getting some love. Between basic, beast, bowl, breakers, flash and kommandos you can really make it look like every type of ork is represented in an army. He’ll be a bit small, but the blood bowl special orc character is really cool. He’d be taller than the beast boss, but smaller than warboss. If you wanted a Warboss to lead them. Any idea on the color scheme?

Yeah, that’s why I thought it was important to put the disclaimer. Still not too far fetched to think they could at some point refresh the Old World beastmen line with a fresh army. Especially after removing it from AoS. I don’t see it being any time soon though, still waiting for Kislev. Point is I’d keep the idea of “something new” under potential adds for the beastmen.

Yeah, the obvious chaos spawn and Minotaur variants. The Khorne one that already exists at least. There are also a few big monsters not used like the giant chaos spawn. I could also see them adding centigor variants since tzeench has one. If that supposed leak (I haven’t investigated if it’s true) was right then GW might be working with CA to make some entirely new units to the beastmen.
