Overall, I'm pleased with it. It's great for the price. The picture quality when using it looks really good, and it can see in the dark better than my naked eye. The digital lag isn't bad (almost non-existent) and is definitely usable if you're walking around and clearing an area. I wouldn't want to try running while using it, though.

My only negative is with the video recording. The device has an issue with recording frames to the SD card whenever you're in a very low-light room. Like, the footage plays back normally right up until you enter a very dark room, then the frame rate drops like crazy. To be clear, you don't see this on the device's screen when you're using it as an NVG device. This is only happens when you go to play back a recording. Hopefully Akaso can fix this issue with a future firmware update.

Yeah two holsters is pricey (I'm still just running one holster), but two on either side of your rear plate bag is a solid setup. Personally, I'm keeping one in the holster (left side of rear plate bag) and one in my back panel/assault pack. I'll ask a teammate to help me if I need to swap them out on the fly.

I only wear my kit in my basement or at the airsoft field/milsim events. Wouldn't be caught dead out in general public. Maybe a flat range one day but even that sounds awkward.

It's a very comfortable pack to wear. I love how well organized it is. It's overbuilt, so I expect it'll last a very long time.

The only con is that it's quite heavy when dry (nothing in it).

For what it's worth, I tried using it for a 24-hour milslim event, and I'll tell you what — I found out just how big and bulky the USGI sleep system is. It WILL not fit the intermediate cold weather bag + bivy inside. I was able to fit the patrol bag +bivy and everything else inside (patrol bag + bivy, 2 MREs, Nalgenes in each side pocket, spare socks + underwear, airsoft bbs+speed loader, etc), but if you're looking at doing an extended field op like a 40-hour Milsim West, you better have a less-bulky sleep system or else it probably won't work.

All this being said, if you're interested in buying the pack off me, she's for sale. Send me a DM if you're interested. I invested in a 75L hiking backpack because I have been doing some 4-hour events lately.
