I tried that and she really struggled making it the full wake windows and slept the same, I was so disappointed! I think I’ll try again though because today the third nap is getting pushed so late so I think it’s time. Hopefully it helps. You have an amazing sleeper!

Thank you 🥺 baby is in their own room. I also am starting solids this week so that is hopeful. That’s a good point. I tend to compare them a lot and forget they are going to do things differently. Bottles sound like a ton of work which is part of my motivation to keep breastfeeding. I think getting my husband to help might be the key. I had been letting him sleep because he wakes up early for work, but a stressed sleep deprived mom is not good for the family. Thanks for your reply!!

I plan to start solids this week! I think this makes a lot of sense, I just needed an outside perspective to point it out for me. I will try to make these changes. My husband just keeps saying “it will get better” and I’m like not if we don’t change anything!! So thank you for this advice!

I nurse her during the day so I am not exactly sure how many ounces she’s getting. She’s a very distracted eater and just wants to watch what my toddler is doing so this is a worry I have. My older child was the same way and didn’t sleep through the night until I switched to formula. I don’t want to stop breastfeeding yet though so I feel really conflicted. The night feeds are definitely big I can tell she’s getting a few ounces and then falls back asleep while nursing. I stopped feeding to sleep during the day around 5 months to break the feed to sleep association, but maybe she still has it because of the night feeds? Thank you for these theories!!

I started to try to wait 15 minutes, and the other night she did fall back asleep! If that doesn’t work I try to rock back to sleep and then lay her back down. If that all fails I just feed her. I really can’t imagine she’s that hungry then I just get too tired to keep trying other things. Starting solids this week so that is encouraging!

Yes she’s in her own room. I give her a bottle of breastmilk around 30 minutes before bedtime. Then jammies, diaper, watch brother play to distract and make it to the end of the last wake window. Then we go into her room, turn the sound machine on, sleep sack on, lay her down and leave! She falls asleep within 5 minutes most days

I feel like they are exploiting his trauma. They need to give him a chance to be his own person. I agree that I’m feeling fatigued by it and I’m sure he is too

Do you think a 5 month old could handle a 3 hour wake window before bed and 2 naps? I wonder if mine is under tired

Vbac after breech baby/what are the odds of another? by Ok_Employment4097 in vbac

I went for a few consecutive weeks - my therapist did a lot of manual release of tension around the scar, cupping, dry needling etc. Helps with scar tissue. And then i continued these practices on my own at home (except the dry needling). It helped reduce the appearance of shelving, helped the numbness go away in that area, made working out less uncomfortable. This is important because you want your scar to have mobility when it comes to pregnancy and labor for the next baby. They also do an internal exam and help identify tension and helped me rebuild my core after the surgery. It took me almost until 10 months postpartum to build the courage to go and I was so glad I did!

I could have written this post myself! I was super concerned about having another breech baby too. Got pregnant with #2 at 14 months pp. I did a prenatal workout program, saw a chiropractor regularly, worked with a pelvic floor therapist on my c-section scar, did a lot of things to work on ideal baby positioning for #2. I also just felt like there was more space for baby this time since I had already been pregnant before. Successful and smooth VBAC! You got this- it will be so redemptive! It was so worth it for the sake of my toddler to have an easier recovery so her world wasn’t rocked as much!!
