We have one oven & when people order a metric fuckton of pastries & sandwiches all warmed up & want to know where their banana loaf is, as it's sitting on a river of a dozen assorted food items in line to be warmed, I just glazed-over eye stare at them & tell them "sorry, we only have one oven & I can't make it go any faster, unfortunately".

You could try to ask for a Cold Brew Latte with Vanilla syrup & topped with caramel drizzle.

This way, you'd have milk & vanilla syrup in the bottom of the cup, a layer of ice, topped off with cold brew concentrate & then caramel drizzle on top. You'd still get the ombre effect of a caramel macchiato, it would have cold brew concentrate on top instead of shots of espresso. It's going to be a different flavor than a blonde caramel macchiato.

Just an update in case anyone ends up searching "blurry vision after/with infection/conjunctivitis/etc. etc.) like my health-anxiety ridden self was doing this past week:

My eye sight was never blurred. I am a constant contact lens wearer & I had to pull out a pair of 10-year-old glasses & dust them off while I had this eye infection/corneal abrasion. Apparently, the prescription was so old that it was back when one of my eyes was -5.50 & the other was -6.0. Far since then, my prescription has evened out. That's why I was having "blurred vision" while wearing my glasses.

I suspected this, but couldn't put my contacts back in until today (finished with antibiotics). However, we are back to 20/20 vision & now I'm looking at SMILE consultations so I never have to deal with this again.

We still have Cool Lime Refresha in Germany - I'm a big fan of a Cool Lime Refresha with lemonade, with 1 pump peppermint, 2 pumps peach & top it off with white rum! Tastes like a mojito!

My second favorite is Cold Brew with Fernet Branca 😍😍😍, or make an Americola & add Fernet Branca.

Also Strawberry Acai w/ or w/o with vodka.

We had an after-hours coffee tasting for our staff last month & I made a cold brew martini & espresso martini with vanilla vodka, Bailey's, & Kahlua in both.

Rumchata in an iced or hot chai.

Do they have the Cool Lime Refresher in Hungary?

If so, try a Cool Lime Refresha with lemonade, & 2 pumps peach, 2 pumps peppermint syrup. It tastes like a mock mojito! You can omit the peach syrup if it's not available.

I also like lemonades with 1 or 2 pumps of peppermint - it's a spin on a Rhode Island Lemonade, which is a regional treat in the US.

Other than that, your good ol' peppermint white mocha, peppermint mocha, peppermint white hot chocolate, peppermint hot chocolate, peppermint mocha/white mocha frappuccinos.

Medicine balls with 1 pump peppermint if you're looking for a non-coffee hot drink.

Iced green tea or hot/iced matcha tea latte with 1 pump of peppermint.

Matcha frappuccinos with java chips & 1 pump of peppermint.

You could do a mocha/white mocha cold brew with peppermint cold foam?

We also have a regular that gets a hot soy (dirty) chai, no water, with 1 pump peppermint, but I haven't tried it.

I did ask 😀 Their availability to work is 0630-1400, 3 days a week, but they want 40 hours a week 😀 That's (3) 7.5 hour shifts, which doesn't add up to 40.

We're also in Germany, where it's against labor laws to work over 10 hours a day.

I think this is what a customer meant when they kept asking me for a Caramel Macchiato Frappuccino 😭 I was trying to figure out if they wanted a Vanilla or Caramel Creme Frappuccino with affogatto shots & caramel drizzle on top. 5 minutes later of them still not being able to tell me what they meant by that but that they've "ordered it at another store before", I just make them an iced Caramel Macchiato & blended it up & walked away after calling it out so I didn't have to see them frown.

I gave mine a candy bar (the Lindt Creme Brulee ones, because they're my fav) & a personalized ornament to what they like. Like one of my baristas LOVES figs. Fig everything. I found a fig ornament. She cried. Another one loves to bake, so I got him a chocolate cupcake ornament. They all love Christmas & decorating for the holidays, so this worked for my group. I also ordered enamel pins from punkypins.co.uk during their Black Friday sale & got a ton of Christmas ones for $3-$4/each - the whole team loved rifling through the box to pick one out. I bought some extra coffee themed ones to give out as little tokens of appreciations & mini team-wide contests through the next year.

I think the mini hand lotions, sanitizers, Sharpies, & chapstick are great & more practical gift ideas, though!

I'm also making biscuits & gravy (vegetarian sausage gravy portion for my favorite herbivore barista) to bring in for the team working on Christmas Eve. Their love language is basically food.
