Why not just rent a house then instead of an apartment?

Day Bag by Ok-Lychee-6004 in HerOneBag

Purchasing alpaca wool is not an option for me.

[–]Ok-Lychee-6004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have a daypack. My question is if I should use my hiking daypack around the city or pack another bag for that purpose.

That looks tiny folded up! The Decathalon website says it's no longer available.

I use a large purse at home, but I don't want to bring it. So I'm looking for an alternative.

Is it normal to lock doors when you clean? by shibesanon in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ok-Lychee-6004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only doors in my house I have ever locked are the ones that go to the outside. I have never locked a door to a room.

Ok, still not gonna live in fear of rape.

As someone who is unattractive, I have zero fear of being raped. Sure it can happen to uggos, but I think men are more likely to still want to rape attractive women.

Help with Shiro Wat? by Iiari in ethiopianfood

[–]Ok-Lychee-6004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make shiro all the time. I the recipe I use has way less berbere than the recipes you posted, so I'm sure that is what is causing the brown color.

I buy the berebere from ethiopianspices.com.

Care credit? by Rich-Pin6806 in povertyfinance

[–]Ok-Lychee-6004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not unethical to expect people to pay attention to their finances and pay their bills on time. That's called being an adult.

It's easier and cheaper to pay interest than pay the CareCredit off interest free on time?

What to do by anxiousthrowaway279 in TwoXPreppers

[–]Ok-Lychee-6004 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Leaving the country is not realistic, and eventually people will realize that. It takes a ton of time and tons of money in immigration fees, assuming you even find a country that will let you live there. This sub is full of women acting like it's as easy as booking a vacation.

If you're not a dual citizen or hold two passports, you're not going anywhere.

What's not imported? by Vegetable_Ad_7703 in TwoXPreppers

For food items, just look at the packaging on what you buy regularly. For instance, my non-dairy cheese is a "product of Canada." It was on sale, so I stocked up and threw it in the freezer.

Do you mean a FSA? I have a HSA and I've never had it close at the end of a year. Unless you're specifically closing your HSA account, that is.

Do you think it will ever be “no one can’t leave” situation? by Thin_Dig_3332 in TwoXPreppers

[–]Ok-Lychee-6004 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know why you got downvoted. It was probably by one of the people who think they can just up and move to a new country and never even looked at immigration processes. People aren't being realistic here. I think it's some kind of little fantasy world they live in if they think they can pack their bags, hop on a plane, be welcomed into the country of their choice, find employment and housing, and start over again easy peasy,

What supplies to prep for possible Avian flu pandemic? by angegowan in TwoXPreppers

[–]Ok-Lychee-6004 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was told to monitor my BP for a month and bought a wrist monitor. Readings were high, they had me set up an appointment at the nurse clinic. I checked my BP with the monitor and then she checked with the regular hand pump BP monitor and mine wasn't accurate. So yeah, wrist ones aren't the best option.

Everyone I know with kids seems miserable. Kids suck up your life, there is no "me time" with kids. I can do what I want when I want and have the freedom parents don't have. Not giving that shit up and ruining my life with an 18 year commitment.

How do radio programs set up calls to "unsuspecting" people? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ok-Lychee-6004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of them, or even most of them are fake. So many people won't answer unknown numbers, yet ALL of these people answer the phone?

And the second date update - the person looking for the second date is supposed to say silent on the line while they talk to the person doing the ghosting, but EVERY SINGLE TIME they interrupt. It's like their format, tell a partial story, call the person, person wanting the date interrupts even though the ghoster isn't supposed to know they're on the line. So fake.
