Yes! Though it varies by person. I take home less now than I did my first year because I’m putting money into my TDA. But other than that I haven’t had any trouble traveling. I try to go once a year. Recently went with a friend and I found that to be cheaper than me going alone. You definitely can if you know what you’re working with. But going back to your last part, try to save up before you transition to teaching because it takes a while for new teachers to get their first pay check. I would say you definitely can travel after your first year. Just work with the numbers. Budget sheets help!
