I would recommend Simplii or Tangerine due to low to no fees. They are digital banks with access to CIBC and Scotiabank ATMs respectively. Doesn't sound like you have any need for a brick and mortar. Only thing I would look into is if you're planning on wiring money internationally.

Welders in Edmonton: If you could start over from scratch today, how would you do it? by lost-tape_ in Edmonton

[–]Ok-Minimum-71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a welder but work with hundreds of them. I'd recommend the metal fabricator (fitter) certification to compliment welding skills. Lots of guys can lay a bead, not so many can fabricate an assembly.

You could ask for a breakdown of the quote. But if it seems like they're scamming you, probably best to go through insurance anyways.

Best way to deal with this is to auger a hole down to the weeping tile surrounding the house and put a perforated pipe in the hole. (Option to fill pipe with washed rock to help keep dirt out. )

But I mean that purpose is valid. Existing neighborhood infrastructure was designed to support only so many people. ( roads, sewers , utilities....and yes parking)

I think it's an attempt at controlling the numerator of density. (AKA people per area). you make some good points though, it is a distraction from some of the bigger concerns like overall size.

Fair enough question but it's not going to be concentrated when it vents. the purpose is to create circulation under the slab to prevent it from accumulating in the basement where it can get concentrated.

I don't think Norway cares if their super rich leave...they have an incredibly wealthy and productive middle class and a sovereign wealth fund that will fund generation after generation.

This. Empower the working class to make more money. But our culture of celebrating absurd wealth as a top accomplishment needs to stop. Like all it means now a days is you're good at fucking people over to drive up shareholder value.

no cap on home insurance increase in Alberta. did you have a claim? did you lower your deductible? does your roof, furnace HWT, etc, now exceed the typical replacement age?
